Looks good, but I think you need to change the key graphics. Having two gold keys and two silver keys can get confusing.

Re: SonderKommando Revolt
Don't worry, those will be changed. The pickups key sprites are even now different colors. Also will be changed: HUD face, and hud bar weapon images.Looks good, but I think you need to change the key graphics. Having two gold keys and two silver keys can get confusing.
Thankslooks cool, you need to make trains where they got in..
Indeed the trains idea was considered, but currently I'm not sure. floor textures can be easily done, but it's hard to recreate the "real camp" entrance in wolf3d engine. also, we'll need in that case a horizone line coding feature.
But with wall texture it can be simulated I guess. Though in the revolt itself they will not probably escape to the wood through the main gate.
Though you yourself are the project's coder (and so a bit un-objective), it's still nice to hear. All mapping credits go to Ronwolf, our beloved mapper, who seem to work very creativelly and fast.Exellent work there... I like it a lot.
Hope he'll get the cfg files soon so he'll be able to use all the VSWAP graphics
also you can maybe make that jews etc get in the camp out a train..
Nice idea, I'm glad this forum shows quite nice history awareness with the Holocaust issue.
Currently I'm writing a story, which is based on my previous "real-life" incarnation as 17-years old jewish SonderKommando in Auschwitz (as I know it... it was actually the idea behind making such a mod and in THAT camp...) (with changes, so it won't end in Block 11 execution as it did...this is where the story begins, escape from Block 11), so the story is not that flexible, though still in the writing, it's based on real revolt attempt there with crematorium partly blown up. I don't think that escaping via train is the realistic idea, and to implement train jumping is not doable in wolf3d engine. More logical is escape to the woods. It also make a place for a sequel where you could go help other camps. I 'll try to think where I can implement the train idea, maybe as "background" texture or just floor texture of railway, though it's not logical to make it 1 block width, that's why it's currently not in.
I'll think about the train idea...it's seem very popular here on the feedbacks....
I think the Parallax sky could have a bit more detail also.
Well, it's the same parallaxed sky from my recently released "Femstein" mod. Don't know if I'll add details to it, but note we have 2 parallaxed skies for the mod, one for snow weather, and the one on the screenshots for better weather. Maybe we'll add night sky parallaxed sky as well.

Actually this evening (after getting your feedbacks) already created railroad floor textures, and cool train textures for all sides (recreation from original photo)
So there is a good chance I'll put it in

I think he's using wall textures for the train, it would make it a bit hard to move

Re: SonderKommando Revolt
Well, I'm not too good of a 3dwolfer as playing is concerned, but even I don't die one level 1 (well, at first I did, but later - no way).hope it isn't as difficult as femstein as i keep dying in level 1 lol
Select easiest skill (good for Femstein beginner player), first go for the one guard on first right turn behind the wall, take his rifle, then go back and turn left to the toilets area, kill the red-pants babe with the new-found rifle, take it's automatic gun...it's all easy from there.
Note you can buy health from cola machines using coins (you've probably guessed that) and from walls...so shouldn't be that hard.
Use the "knife" only to kill the first babe, after that use other weapons, if you'll won't waste ammo like crazy, you won't need "the knife" anymore at all.
Note that the game get's more complicated later on, with many bosses, and dangerous enemies (babe mutants for example).....so if the first level is too hard for you, it'll get only harder later on.
You can also use the "F+A+X" cheat to get full ammo and health, I used it alot for beta testing, to make level progression faster.
I have to say that all the levels are pretty passable even for non-pro wolfer, beside Lab levels (those I myself can't finish without cheating) with all those rocket-shooting mutant babes around....you'll die before you know it. But others have finished the game, and even those levels are not a challenge for a pro 3dwolfer player (and I'm not one of them)
Well, you just try to force me to reveal mod's secret features.....let me say I'm not confirming, nor denying the walking-prisoners thingWolfenstein3D Fan wrote:ggehe, can you make a screenshot of the rail roads?

All I can say - it'll be pretty realistic.
About the railroad textures - I'll post a screenshot when it'll be used inside a level. I don't want to post the textures themselves in a rippable format.

Well, unless you have computer since 1995, you are exaggurating
what will be the enemies??
Well, most of them will be pretty standard...1 from ROTT pack, most of the others from W.S.J nazi pack... 1 will be quite original though, a new one, very cool.
bosses will be new, especially the last one, that is not based on any existing wolf3d boss.
