Final Fight 2 is going to be made

I was wondering if there was enough intrest to make a Final Fight 2. seems from the comments on the videos that people really like Final Fight. who would like to help me make Final Fight 2 if it were to be made. I thought it would be really cool to make a final fight 2. so what do you guys think?

I'm not going to say this project is dead. I won't give up on it, but sometime this week I'll have some new screens to show off a level I'm working on. If anyone wants to help out with level making for this mod, send me a pm and I'll get the required stuff to ya.

Currently there are 10 levels done, with me working on the 11th. We plan on having 34 total levels with 27 regular and 7 secret.

How can there be a Final Fantasy 2 if the first game was already Final Fantasy? lol. It can happen. You can't expect to clear all nazis out in one fell swoop now can you?

There is no restriction on what map editor can be used. I still haven't figured out how to get the secret weapon as a pickup item so it can be used other than via cheating.

So I know this is taking longer and longer and seems like this will never be finished, but I am having trouble with a level I was given. Any tips would be stellar. At this time a level was given in a different version of the map files. When I try to take the level out of there and put it into the current set of levels in chaosedit, it always makes the levels lose all of their textured ceilings and floors. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

I've seen ChaosEdit trash the third plane when it was previously built by another editor like WDC, which is what I suspect may be what's happening. That can be circumvented by using HWE by Havoc.

This is less likely your problem, but keep in mind that in many DOS vs. SDL mods with textured floors and ceilings, the way they are implemented is totally different: In DOS, the ceilings and floors are totally drawn by the EXE, using a single texture in the VSWAP. Usually in SDL mods, the third plane holds both the floor and ceiling texture information at each grid position, and all the SDL EXE does is draw what's in the third plane at that location.

Thanks for the advice. I will grab HWE and get this level working! Its a hard level and I'm told its the last by its creator which saddens me. But still I know this is very slow going, but I'm working on it. Music stuff has been getting on the up and up this year so not as much time has been spent on FF2 as I'd like.

I know this mod has been kinda dead for a while now, but I'm going to start up production on this once again and get this thing finished and released! so expect some sort of screenshots next week.
