    What if i was going to start mapping Wolf3D, ( i wont, because im quite busy on Skulltags Doom and i feel
    much more to create a Wolf3D single- and/or multiplayer in Doom format, but still keeping the Wolf3D feeling.
    )
    what do i need to get started?

    PS : The idea to create multiplayer maps in Doom format wasn't my idea, it came from someone else, but cant remember his/her name.

    well you need to get a program called chaosedit:
    http://www.stud.uni-karlsruhe.de/~uvaue/chaos/ceprepage.html
    that is the latest and greatest program for wolf3d editing.

    you're welcome. the other one that people use a lot is called mapedit. if you have time you might check out the final fight help needed thread in the new addons, mods... etc section and take a look at what chaosedit can do. that mod is made just by using chaosedit and some music converter programs. also all graphics are made only using MS paint.

    well the point is, some say mapedit is easier to use than choasedit, but choasedit is one of the latest and best editors.
    if yuo ever feel like mapping wolf3d, though, I'll help you from day one Smile

    Well, maybe i will. I learn fast, but have very little time.
    Besides, im very busy with mapping and scripting in Doom (SkullTag/Zdoom) at the moment, but coding
    Wolf3D looks very interesting and tempting and to re-live the good old Wolf3D times Very Happy

    Wolf3D-modding is a full-time hobby, but it is well worth it. Also, since no one has mentioned it, be sure to check out WDC once you've learned the basics. It offers more advanced features, but I recommend mapping with ChaosEdit because of the ever awesome 3dedit. Smile

    you can even learn slow and still finish without using too much time. doom takes a long time to develope from what i was told as opposed to wolf3d where it is much faster Smile
    (all is easy except for coding, which is not required)
