Re: 2007 version of ATAW 3D
I don’t remember a year 2007 version of All This And Wolf 3D. I thought that Thomas posted on a diehardwolfers thread that he doesn’t want you naming sequels after his mods and that he typed that it’s not cool.

I like it the mod it too. Only the disorder has only, not anything you can't see.

I'm confused. "Not anything you can't see..." in a map editor? I thought that All This And Wolf 3D won't show maps in a map editor.Officer-Michael John wrote:I like it the mod it too. Only the disorder has only, not anything you can't see.

Re: ATAW 3D maps 2007 version
Couple of things.
First I do believe that the mod was released in 2007 (January or February - I can't remember) so the date mentioned does make sense.
Second I think he is asking (not the first time either) to see the maps because they cannot be viewed in an editor. Thomas kindly supplied him with some (30 or so), but I can only suspect he wants to see the rest. It is my take that he wants to view them for inspirational purposes so he can do some more mapping.
Or not...

I do it to prevent theft or to protect ideas. Thomas would have his own reasons and I will not try to speak for him.

Re: ATAW 3D maps 2007 version
In all honesty, the only reason why these levels are inaccessible from an editor standpoint is simply because the merging of two GAMEMAPS files (with 60 and 11 levels in them, respectively) prevents this. I don't know of any editor - I'm a MapEdit dinosaur and always have been - that can contain more than 60 levels.
I think Andy, Chris or Dean have all my ATAW levels lying around in various GAMEMAPS files, but I've lost them too many times due to faulty backup and/or not really having any interest in them, so I won't bother them anymore with this subject. But if Michael-John wants, he might want to drop Chris a message and see what happens.

Levels 68, 69, & 70
Please remind me again. Did you beat levels 68, 69, & 70 with the savegames that I emailed to you?Officer-Michael John wrote:Andy lost. Andy inactive. Only write for you Wolfer King and Chris. Please clear up something for me. What's Ack's real first name? I've forgotten.

Re: ATAW 3D maps 2007 version
Lol, you always write as if there's a third person watching. Don't know why ack's first name is any of your business either way.
I think Michael wants to get an overlook of said levels (68-70) to get ideas as he has found the graphics used for the Wolf "band" seen near the end of level 69. Level 68 is all right, at least in terms of design (the gameplay is a bit tedious), but level 70 is kind of fluid but banal and level 71 (0) is just plain poor. And given that level 69 preceded these they probably play even worse, but these were made in early December 2006, long before level 69 had been added to the GAMEMAPS file. They felt a natural progression from the over-huge latter levels of the mod.
I have never seen the overview level of level 69. Chris made it after I had finished mapping, and I only played it in the finished, coupled GAMEMAPS file. I'm quite ambiguous with it as most people remember a mod I made 70 levels for based on one level made by Chris featuring a whole lot of coding I didn't even know he would be willing to do.
In short - I don't think there is much inspiration to find in levels 68, 70 or 71 (0). If Michael-John wants to see overview levels that look fun and twisted, he should seek out Map Melee (Chris' levels), Temporary Insanity or anything by Ron and ack. That is interesting mapping, first and foremost playing it, but also how it looks like from above.

Level 71?
Thanks, I might play these levels by Chris. Now I remember that Kurt is Ack's name. Level 71?Thomas wrote:Lol, you always write as if there's a third person watching. Don't know why ack's first name is any of your business either way.

Re: ATAW 3D maps 2007 version
Yes, the zero in parenthesis, mentioned twice, apparently rings no bells with you. Level 71 shows on the status bar as level 0. There is an end level object at the end of level 70, a brief darkness and the Hitler ghost's death laugh, and B.J. "wakes up" in level 0, the 71st and final level overall. Maybe the SDL version is different. Haven't made it past level 9 in that one.

Re: ATAW 3D maps 2007 version
You guessed King Wolfer . Because of course I want to get level ideas lack ideas. The DHW Band is needed because the 2nd mod would be of concerts in my level and I should. The first course will be because it is one of my favorite circuits. The 69th and 70th level of the 60 adventures in my mod but must be transferred to the editor.
