Nocturnal - iLOW3D, by Ipank

I know it's a tad early but I thought I'd start a poll for what people think of this. I've not played much myself and will not vote yet, but I will say Ipank never fails to impress me as a vanilla(ish) mapper.

I've allowed vote cancelling so those who've only played part of the mod can give a preliminary rating & change it later if necessary.

Who said average?

Not me. I put Excellent. But I love these types of sets. The person who put Average may have seen only the disadvantages, such as the weapon and backpack bugs, the mapping that tends to repeat itself (most longer sets do, anyway) and the fact that it's not a super slick piece of work. Apples and oranges, peace on earth and halleluhwah.

I haven't voted in this thread, but I have noted in my review on the Wolf3D blog that the mapping indeed tends to repeat itself (which, as Thomas notes, is a problem most sets have). Nevertheless, I think I'd still give it an excellent because it remains challenging and fun to play thanks to the variety in enemies, weapons and traps employed in the levels. It just could have used some trimming to remove some of the levels that feel like rehashes.
