Re: Operation Arctic Wolf
Is this Luke Strauman's Arctic Wolf, announced in 2004 or something looking just fantastic and then vanished without a trace? Was it ever released in DOS?

Re: Operation Arctic Wolf
Yes it is. and no it was never released for DOS I did incredible work on the game last year to try get it released then when I was ready to release a small demo of the game, incredible fan mail and huge support I didn't know existed still in the wolf3d community pressured me to do any game in SDL. I guess if it doesn't matter anymore for DOS wolf3d games I could just release my source code for arctic wolf to all of you, contribution to the community and many long years away. Expect week/weekend updates to my site if you even realized it still was operational this entire time.

Re: Operation Arctic Wolf
Looking forward to playing this..... And dude, Area 51 was the high concept mod back in the day. Always loved whatever was released of it. Esiam looked promising as well... Don't know if it was finished though, I seem to remember it crashed on and off but it could be a memory bug or my own memory playing tricks with me.

Re: Operation Arctic Wolf
Everyone who emails me comments on Area 51! There is a growing trend I am seeing for a SDL version of this game maybe?? And Project Esiam had some memory issue that ^*&^*^ up the map i think level 4? Was a shame cause it was a game i put lots of time in but at the time was working on Himmler's SS and helping other ppl in the wolf community at the time and just never patched the MOD with a fixed version.

Re: Operation Arctic Wolf
Well - it is what it is. Certainly they were major works in their time, and I seemed to recall them as popular when I introduced the easy-to-download, small-size Wolf mods in our school's computer lab in the summer/fall of 2003. Himmler's SS was quite popular I recall and I personally loved it. Even though the outside level was just bright blue ceiling and adequate sprite and texture imagery it really, really worked. All those projects still have great potential to fruit into large SDL projects, just as Wolf Skevos-Jones did with his early project Castle Totenkopf.

Re: Operation Arctic Wolf
Have you worked closely with Luke Strauman to finish up his mod or are you finishing it by yourself?
