"Officially" begin the celebration of the New Year - 25 December or 26 December.

New album will be released in March.

Gonna be exciting! I thought we'd lost the man. I gave the Man Who Sold the World album a spin three days ago, thought "wow, he's never coming back" and then this happens. This is going to be veeery interesting... Even if it's a bit on the maudlin side...

It was pretty much agreed upon that he was retired. I'm glad he's still around, and just hearing from him made my day a whole lot better.

And it was totally unexpected. These days, when someone's doing something in progress, it's all over Fakebook and Twatter and whatnot, but this had been sealed all the way till yesterday! I think that's an accomplishment in its own right.

Indeed. Bowie only had to release a song to create the ultimate hype.

This sounds like a classic rock type of music for a videogame.

SIMPSONS HIT AND RUN... Oh golly how I miss that game. Must've played it 1,000 times on PS2 before I'd tried GTA at all.

It was an okay game, but it's a shame they made it more kid friendly than the show itself.

I know, but it had to have an appeal of some sort. All games have that. Ever notice how there aren't any animals or children in GTA? (with the exception of pigeons you can shoot in GTA IV but that's okay since everybody hates pigeons).

Great beat rock coupled with a dismal, mellotron-draped love song.

I knew some of the Bee Gees' early hits, but I had no idea that their albums had any substance beyond those. This 1st album is just amazing. A beautiful slightly psychedelic gem, in the vein of the Moody Blues!

To Brian: How was this received back in the day? As far as I remember, you're a fan of the group too.
