HEY, RICK! Yes, FLAC is the way to go. I rip all my CD's in FLAC only. Luckily though, I have a Rega P2 vinyl player on my stereo rack and that kind of puts things in a different light.

Bee Gees 1967-69 had much more substance than their disco years. Don't know if Brian agrees, I know he's a fan... But I've really gotten into their first four albums lately.

I agree that the Bee Gees earlier stuff is best. Massachusetts is my favourite song by them. I still like their disco and later stuff too though.

You almost can't get their records in Europe. A pity!

There are songs I still cannot find a FLAC version to. It's kindda sad, really.Thomas wrote:

Just came across this in one of the few physical music shops left nearby... This is not remastered though, full original stereo sound.

(c) from youtube - "This is the infamous "chicken incident" that occurred at the 1969 Rock N Roll Revival concert in Toronto, Canada. The Alice Cooper Group was playing a jam when a chicken was tossed on stage. Alice picked it up and tossed it back into the audience. The front row (which were handicapped guests) caught the bird and ripped it to shreds!
The next day Frank Zappa (the band's producer at the time) called Alice and asked, "Did you bite the head off a chicken on stage?" Alice laughed and denied it but Frank told him to let the press eat it up!
Here's a fun fact that barely anybody knows: The chicken incident happened more than once. The first time was in London with The Mothers of Invention, where Alice accidentally threw the chicken into the ceiling of the venue and it died on impact. The first time the audience ripped up the chicken was in San Berdino. This act was planned by the group! This is a fact from a 1969 interview."

ALICE COOPER AND AUDIENCE... How sweet is that. I just love I'm Eighteen and No More Mr. Nice Guy and recently purchased the Billion Dollar Babies album. I plan to get a hold of Love It to Death and Killer later. I really want to hear Halo of Flies in a decent setting.
Howard Werth (the lead singer) in Audience has a funny, croaky voice. It reminds me of Roy Wood and Howlin' Wolf in one person. It's terrific. Their first album, often overlooked, is very good as well, the original version of The House on the Hill really makes it.

"This is one of those rare LPs that you usually only see once in a lifetime. It's been repressed and bootlegged and made available on CD, but to find an original is near-impossible. The number of copies in existence is said to be extremely low following an incident which led to the destruction of many copies before they could be sold. Whoever had the idea to shrink wrap the albums on a meat packing machine helped deprive more of us the opportunity to own this fantastic record.
Much like the Dandelions LP I posted earlier this year, Jr. And His Soulettes are a young group. Harold Moore Jr. (age 10), his sisters Denise Marshall (7), Jacquelin Carol (6), and Vinta Marie (9) record some amazing child-funk jams.." (с)

I saw Bryan Ferry live in 2011. Great concert, lovely setup (catwalk models, lots of musicians on stage but all very relaxed) - he still delivers.
