Note: THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH REAL LIFE CURRENCY. Don't even mention paying cash, or thinking about cash, when you read this.
    ---

Those credits Jayngo has been talking about? Seemingly useless, right?

    Here's an idea..

How about, a shop? Yes, a forum shop. You can spend credits you earn for services, such as name, email, name color, and group changes. How about paying enough credits makes the forum SNOW? YOU can make the forum snow buy paying credits! You can have an advertisement of your upcoming mod as a banner on the forums for limited time by paying credits! Don't worry, the forum won't be barraged with ads, as only one ad may be put at a time.

Now, how do you snag yourself some credits?

Just for registering, you get credits. By that, I mean, for each day you are registered, you get a small amount of free credits. However, you can post in the forums to get more credits. In general, making a thread nets more points than posting. In addition, the amount of credits you gain per post or thread changes across different forum sections. You get a little bit less credits for posting at Off Topic, for instance. One important point, though is to not post for the sake of only to get extra credits. The credit system is a way to encourage good posts, not spamming. What constitutes as simple spamming? That is based on the moderator's opinion. If you are found to be posting for the sake of posting (or violating any other rule, for that matter), you will have an increase in warning level. You may check your warning level in your profile, near where you can check your profile comments you can put down.

Oh, you can also earn some points for having a new friend for your profile. You also net points for posting on your friend's profile, as a profile message.
Speaking of which, you can use credits to decrease warning level. No, you cannot post a lot, get warning and use up credits to decrease warning levels, and profit off credits. Just post normally, people!

A value of 0 or nothing in the field of "Warning Level" means you have absolutely no black marks. A warning level of 100 means instant ban.

Tell me what you think of this new option. I might come up with more ideas on what to use your hard earned credits for.
Note the title, store coming out soon. The rates of services are not yet assigned.

    Have a nice day! scared

    Edit:
In related news, the two stickies originally only in the News section are now seen throughout all forum sections. Don't worry, I won't flood each forum with tons of global announcements, just these two.

    Cool.
As an update, the forum section, Aardwolf, got changed into a subsection. It makes sense to me, since Aardwolf Mods are a specific type of mod.
Also, fixed a minor typo in the rules thread.
Removed glitched warning levels for a few users. It should now show either a "-", a "0", or nothing. It should not contain text right now. If this is not true for your profile, please notify me.
A sticky got removed, and another sticky got edited.

So wizzie, when do you plan to draw the raffle? Has anyone else bought any tickets or is there just me and the Zombie Meister?

Also, would it be possible to buy a custom smiley? If so, how much would you charge for the privilege? I'd like a Perscan Drone smiley... PS: I'm super happy there's now a birthday cake! Birthday Boy

Well, there are limits to the amonts of emoticons allowed per forum, although I can squeeze inn another 10 or so, I think. The raffle will be drawn when more people actually bother buying a tickit. BUY A TICKET, PEOPLE! 10 people participating or at least 10 tickets bought would be a nice start. Someone's gotta win, right?

It irks me that people did not read this message still. This is an announcement shown in all forum sections, and on homepage. How people managed to not know about the raffle is beyong me. Of course, some people don't want to bother. Oh well.

How many tickets have been taken so far? It looks like most of the regulars have taken a few?

Keep your chin up DW. It's only the first attempt and you've introduced a lot of things in the shop. Maybe it'll take a while for everyone to assimilate all that stuff? Smile
