What Wolfenstein 3D or Spear of Destiny mods are completely converted into an already-existing or original computer game version? I meant other than WolfenDoom. Wolfenstein Mortal Kombat Edition doesn’t count because I’m wondering if there’s something with almost all the graphics changed.

One with virtually all graphics and sounds changed is the shareware set Duke Does Deutschland. No new maps though.

Blake Wolf (with levels by Brian) was an attempt at a total conversion of Wolf to an existing computer game (Blake Stone), as were the shareware graphics patches Corridor 7 Wolf and Operation Body Count Wolf. Mac-enstein was much truer to its original game (Mac Wolfenstein).
Other than Mac-enstein, the mods are kind of primitive because I started them in 1995, before Flo-Edit, source code editing, etc., and I was quite naive about color palettes. Brian's levels make Blake Wolf into an enjoyable game, whether it emulates Blake Stone well or not. Check it out!
All are available at the Dome, and the first three need the shareware v1.4 files to play them.

I think the best one is Doom: Legions of Hell by Insurrectionman,
Just brilliant.. He even released the source-code.. That's even better
After all this all community depends on sharing.. But that's just my opinion...

Have you ever played Klooni? IMO it's much better then Doom: LoH.

Noah's Ark 3D, Mario
Thank you.
Now I remember some things. Noah's Ark 3D for the Super Nintendo must be completely converted from the Super Nintendo Wolfenstein 3D. On Wikipedia, it indicated that Noah's Ark 3D is the only unlicensed Super Nintendo game!? That's kind of weird to wonder why it's the only unlicensed Super Nintendo game.
On the Diehard Wolfers forums or on AReyeP's and MCS's forums, somebody posted a photo of their Mario mod that's in progress. It was cool with a goomba and other Mario graphics. I don't remember the exact link anymore.

Mario, Silencer, Blobs
I remember that picture that I now know is shot1.bmp. So it probably was that link.Schabbs wrote:Maybe it was here...

I've found two new ones that are completely converted into new computer games. Click on the "Silencer" link from the Mario forum. You play as a "Silencer" (What!?) on a mining asteroid stationed above Saturn. I don't know if you're a robot or a man wearing a robotic-looking welding helmet. The other one that I've found completely converted into a new computer game is Blobs 3D or Mutant Blobs from Uranus. It reminds me of that old Nickelodeon green slime.
On AReyeP's and MCS's forums, they get lots of avatars from 3D games. I saw a devil :muwaha: that I think is from a web site for Spear of Destiny episode 2 or 3. I'm going to guess that a lot of the others are from Blake Stone or even computer games that I haven't played.
Klooni? I should download that game just so that I know what the heck you're talking about.

The mapdefs will be released in time, I'm working on a tutorial which will include them. Some wolfers have had a headstart because they requested the definition files in advance and I gave them.

Halls of Stonehenge (Tribute to Blood)

Heretic or Hexen?
Something about your post made me remember. I thought I once saw on The Wolfenstein Dome a mod that's some sort of tribute to Heretic, Hexen, or something else to do with sorcery. That's if I'm not confusing it with something else.Nexion wrote:Some mods which jumped into my mind:

Two sets I remember with a heretic feel are 'The Fear Of Magic' and 'The Fear Of Magic II' by Fredrik Stjernholm. There is also a one level demo by Luke Strauman called 'The Sorcerer's Wrath'.

"The Sorcerer's Wrath" must have been the one that I saw listed.Schabbs wrote:Two sets I remember with a heretic feel are 'The Fear Of Magic' and 'The Fear Of Magic II' by Fredrik Stjernholm. There is also a one level demo by Luke Strauman called 'The Sorcerer's Wrath'.
Anyways, I was looking for "Klooni" on Wolfenstein Dome to see what in the world its about. I scrolled down further and I had found "The Lost World Part 3: Heretic Cult."

Heretic
Play Heretic and type in "cockadoodledoo" to see what it does. I'm not saying what it does because I want it to be a surprise for you. I know it at least works in the shareware Heretic because I have tried it.
There's a Youtube or Google video of "Mario Doom" where somebody is using a wand. I'm guessing that the wand is from Heretic or Hexen. The wand lets you raise your enemy from the dead or turn him against your other opponent; it was something odd that I don't know a lot about.

Heretic or Hexen
Go to http://www.wolfenstein3d.co.uk/news.htm and scroll down to "26th July 2008: Return Of Dragons Demo Released." I think it also looks a lot like Heretic or Hexen.

Ummm....does my mod count?
http://chexquest.org/index.php?topic=650.0
It's based off of the popular DooM TC "Chex Quest" only instead of playing as the hero, you're one of the enemies!
darn...you blew my cover off...

Oh, it's the walking cereal freak. Milk, anyone?
The Alpha version seems to be far from being finished. You could count it as attempt to create a mod based on an already-existing game. So far it looks good.

Re: Chex Quest
Chex Quest 1, 2, and 3: http://www.the-underdogs.info/search.php?search_game=Chex+Quest
That game requires WinWolf 3D, which you can get here: http://winwolf3d.dugtrio17.com/ . This page also has a link to a few more mods.

Technically it doesn't, as my favorite way of testing my game is to do it in DOSBox using Wolf3d.exe
and the best place for Chex Quest 1 and 2 is probably http://www.chexquest.org as most sites go with the lame SciFience version of the game.
and the cereal guy, he's the protagonist of the original CQ games, but since he was just part of an army, I decided that there are many people like him.

Wolfenstein 3D to ROTT
Go to The Wolf3D Dome News at http://www.wolfenstein3d.co.uk/news.htm and look for August 1, 2008. There are two programs to convert your Wolfenstein files into Rise of The Triad games. I didn't know until today that this was even possible.

It's because you're using a DOSbox I stopped using long time ago.
Use this, user-friendly one:
http://ykhwong.x-y.net/cvs/frame.html
Click "DosBox cvs" in the menu.
It has a "browse"/"open file"/"load game" menu option
So if you can find your mods - it sure will

You can increase it's framerate just as in normal DosBox, or even from the menu.

Just like you do in normal DOSBox (and even written on it's opening screen), but this time you can do it from the menu as well.
First try CPUspeed
If it won't help you can try Frameskip

Oh yeah, just a quick note: The "Chex Quest 3" was actually a series of stolen maps from various mods, and isn't even real chex quest, right now Charles Jacobi is working on the official Chex Quest 3.
