Re: .
This is a pretty cool effort man. The 3D Edit alone I'm sure will be welcome for a lot of people who miss Chaos Edit - especially the fact it can do floor and ceiling tiles pretty easily!
The MacenWolf support is a surprise, but an appreciated one! I like that it even takes that into account when displaying enemies in 3D Edit (Though as an aside, it looks like some of the doorside textures dont show up correctly)!
I'm delighted to see another alternative offering of Wolf3D editor trying to provide something different, nice work!

Like ChaosEdit, but simpler and better. This is just what I need to get started on that MacenWolf contest that's due in a week.

Re: .
When on the MapEdit tab, switching to any other tab (other than 3D Edit and Save) removes all my mapping progress since last save. It's too easy to accidentally click on the wrong tab and lose a lot of progress this way, so I'd very much like that to be fixed. Enjoying the editor otherwise, very good job.

Re: .
That's a nice editor. Have you considered uploading the source to a public repository and if you've already done that, maybe share it on here at some point? That way people can edit it to suit their individual needs and whatnot.
I regret nothing.

Re: .
Just an idea: the mapping window is pretty small in 1920x1080, which is a common screen resolution these days. Would it be possible to have it stretch as you maximize the window?
Edit: the newest version crashes when I'm trying to load a custom .wls definitions file. I can't share it unfortunately, but it has many more objects and walls than vanilla Wolf if that's of any help.

Re: .
I'll give you something to work with then. I'm using (large) custom map definitions. When I maximize the editor's window with these definitions loaded, the map goes completely white. Any idea why that happens?lmtor889 wrote:yes, I'm still working on it, I'm looking for ideas to improve .serpens wrote:So how's your progress? Still working on this.
