    Controling shading colors? Empty Controling shading colors?

    Post by Dekker Tue Mar 22, 2022 7:36 am

    Hey there I was wondering if anyone here can explain to me maybe how to control the shading behavior
    like controling the strength of it and especially the color of it. Like every couple of levels I get blueish shading or red one and I just wanted all the levels to have the same shading more or less Smile
    thanks in advance Smile

    There’s a Castle Totenkopf SDL update thread at http://dhw.wolfenstein3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=8626&start=0 if you want to join Diehard Wolfers at http://dhw.wolfenstein3d.com/ to ask there.  WSJ is back.

    In case that's a question about the actual code then it's something like this in wl_shade.c
    Code:

        {   0,   0,   0, LSHADE_NORMAL },
        {   0,   0,   0, LSHADE_FOG },
        {  40,  40,  40, LSHADE_NORMAL },
        {  60,  60,  60, LSHADE_FOG }
    The 3 numbers are  for Red, Green, Blue. It will push towards the color within the range of the color palette at least. If you want some extreme green you could try 0,  120,  0 or even more up to 255. If it's not the dos version then GetShadeDefID should be responsible for the level order.
