Some mods running like crap

Hey guys! So I just beat Mac-enstein third encounter. I am currently playing through Passage to Hollentuefel and Novowolf, BUT----- For some reason, Novo is running like total shit. It's slow and glitchy and skipping frames. Not sure why, it didn't run like this when I first downloaded it. I am on a Windows 10 Acer laptop. The laptop is pretty old but should be able to handle ONLY running one old-school mod with nothing else open. Any hints? I tried looking in the congif file but all it was was the ID software guys names and nothing else..... HELP ME!

By hints I meant, help. Also, I have noticed that alot of other mods WILL NOT run on this laptop. Windows just says "This program cannot run on your pc". Is there an awesome program I don't know about that I can dload and play EVERY mod without issues? Let me know guys... I have 2 weeks off from work! YAY!

I use separate windows to play other games (Rocket League and PoE) and Windows XP to Wolfenstein. I do not have any problems

Anyone have a way to hack the Parallels program for Mac? I just installed Win XP on my Macbook and every mod I have so far runs PERFECT. The Parallels program is great but they want like $50 bucks for the license.. seems a bit outrageous.

I got it! I was able  to get Parallels for free and I successfully installed Win XP on my macbook which runs mods PERFECT! If anyone ever needs help with this  problem, DM me and I have the answer.
