In that picture, I got the 4 bit pallete is :

    Red :
    R:168 G:0 B:0

    Bright Red :
    R:252 G:84 B:84

While I'm use color picker on Duke Nukem Game (use DOS emulator to screenshot), I got :

    Red :
    R:170 G:0 B:0

    Bright Red :
    R:255 G:85 B:85

    Which is right, actually?

What is it that you're trying to do?  Are you trying to copy Duke Nukem characters into Wolfenstein 3D?

Wolfenstein 3D Pallete Empty I mean Duke Nukem I

Post by Resert On Tue Sep 19, 2017 12:24 am

I mean of Duke Nukem Pallete here is Duke Nukem I's Pallete (IBM 16-color). I found out that Red Color in that game is : R 170 G 0 B 0, while the Red Color in Wolf3D pallete is : R 168 G 0 B 0. This thing makes me confused. Which is right pallete for Wolfenstein 3D?

I think wolf3d RGB colors only have 64 choices so it uses: 0,4,8,12,16,etc. and rounds down
