    I thought this would be at least a somewhat interesting topic to gather some information on.

    Personally, I prefer SDL for mods, but am fully willing to use DosBOX if it'll run the mod acceptably. For mapsets (no custom exe's), I'm actually fairly close to indifferent.

    I'm a computer guy. I'm all for latest computer techonology, and because they all leave Dos in the dust, it is in the dust for me. SDL only, Dosbox just isn't a good experience even without any lag.

    I have to set up so it won't lag, I gotta bring it to fullscreen, I gotta drag the exe onto dosbox and I won't have it on my desktop because I like it empty. Why do that when you can double-click on a SDL exe? There are tons of SDL Wolf3d games to play, which I cannot get to. Why waste time on a dos?

    I still have XP but I use Dosbox with Dos mods if I want to hear the music. I prefer SDL though.

    I used to have DosBox, but no more. Haven't put it on my computer at all.

    I run Win7 though I am trying to get an XP Pro to run ASAP, just so have it, and I selected option #3. I'm just crazy about SDL. When that came along I was sold. It really drove me back to Wolf.

    I would have stopped at SHS (or even before that is a remote possibility) if SDL had not come out.

    Well, SDL mods is favorite, but I use DosBOX lot. Its not problem for me, when mod runs well. My mapsets use still DosBox, dont know, when I study or is clear, how make mods in SDL. I choose indifferent.
