Hey guys,

I've decided to move all of my rants, first from Facebook, to the Haven, to a blog site. It is at:

And I've named the blog "Minute Logic". No promises on when it will be updated, but at this moment I am working on fixing old and adding new content. Its focus as stated on the front page:

This is a blog featuring articles mostly on philosophy, and using rational and logical thought to analyze situations.

It is $7.50 to buy as paperback, but that is for printing costs so I don't lose money, but the download is free.

Two new entries: "Tolerance and Moral License" and "Superstition, Faith, Human Fallacy, Taboos".

The religion entries have finally been fleshed out to the point that no new major content will be added. Any more would be peripheral to the issue, IE: debunking evolution misconceptions, etc, but that is not on my agenda for now.

I'm not exactly sure how to cram all of the information about religion into an article that is short enough to be extremely interesting. It does help me organize and list my thoughts, it's more of a list of arguments against theistic claims.

But hey, awesome to know one more person is reading my blog!

Extra point: Change your values based on what others want... the word there is 'inauthentic'. Fake. Untrustworthy.

Sad fact is that most bums are actually veterans. What a great system we have... Then again where do we draw the line between a bum and someone who is homeless? Can you easily tell the two apart? The attitude that they're lazy is not a way to address the problem. For majority this was not a choice...

After 2 years of being jobless/unemployed almost all employers consider you to be "unhirable" which makes you of no value to society. We all know it’s illegal for employers to discriminate against age, race, religion and sexual orientation. What’s NOT illegal is the ability to discriminate against you for being unemployed. Bottom line is if you can't spend and consume then the government doesn't need you. The only thing they hate more than bums or the homeless is people who live off the land such as mountain men.

New article about "Religion 101 and Ridicule". It defines basic terms for religion, with an emphasis on defining what atheism really is. Second part is refuting the claim that I am "juts as bad as them" for being "intolerant" of religion.

The world knows that we Americans are so full of ourselves, Wizzie. Our society is very screwed up compared to others.

I am now spending time to work on a major revision of my religion blog posts. It will be unified under one post, done in correct formatting for easy reading, AND offered as a seperate Word document for extra-easy reading.

I will try to be all-inclusive, so this one is going to be very, very long of a post. I'm currently reading Hitchen's book for some more material. There may not be a new post in some time because I want to get this post nailed as perfectly as possible and it will take a long time to revise everything. Just a heads up for the few that care.

I got a feeling this one is gonna be one hell of a spirited discussion. Possibly a holy war on this site.

Doubt it. The only religious person that bothers to talk about their religion is Jpb and he's not going to start a holy war. That's what I like about that guy. He doesn't go insane and start threatening people in all caps.

That's good. A lot of people get into fights over religion & politics because they don't respect each other's views if they disagree with each other.

JPB isn't the only person that bothers to talk about his religion. Brian is a certain kind of Christian and I remember because JPB asked him in the chatroom. But Brian doesn't say very much about it. DoomJedi is Jewish and talked to Akuul and I about modern Israeli and Palestinian politics and current events that I don't 100% understand. I thought that Chokster said that he's Buddhist. But I like that all of them are nice.

I'm worried that JPB and I are too nice and that people will take advantage of us in our personal lives. It's a long story.

Well I mean, it's possible to have a discussion about religion and not make it a piss fest. I've had a few civil religious debates before.

That's hard to come by. Especially since things have gotten extreme left and right.

That's not my fault, and those not able to conduct a discussion without being horribly offended need not apply. Maturity isn't found in all adults. I had a person lose, then get mad, start insulting me about the games I play, and THEN bitch about how "I keep trying to convince him I'm right", ironic since he voluntarily joined an official debate without an invite.

Not saying it is your fault all the time Wizzie. Life isn't fair no matter how you look at it.

I never said or thought you said it was my fault. Life isn't fair, but I'll just stop talking to people that go way overboard. The adult discussions section has a rule about no personal attacks, anyhow. Won't happen in my forum because I have some control, and I can just block people outside if this forum, online, that are being trolls.

I don't appreciate you typing that JPB and I are weak and will die out. I would say that's a stretch to say that's Darwinism at its finest. Just because they can take advantage of me or him, then it doesn't mean that they should, nor that it's allowable.

You've never worried that you're too nice and that deceptive or criminal people might take advantage of you or misinterpret you? I'll name some examples without going too much into my personal life. First of all, I didn't get very much out of Criminology class because of the psychobabble and theories. I found an article at about the same time that I was taking Criminology that they've noticed a crime wave where Asian-Americans especially girls are getting mugged at gunpoint or knifepoint at subways and train stations. It's possibly because the suspects perceive them as too nice and not being very likely to fight back. I've heard that younger Germans on vacation in America who drive on the wrong side of the street, have an accent, or speak German are targeted partly because people perceive them as too nice and not being very likely to fight back. Also, individuals who have a reputation of being too nice might be targeted. I don't feel the need to type in more examples. I've got other things to do right now.

Okay I worded it wrong, but I didn't mean specifically YOU and JPB, stathmk. Not everyone is the same. I'm just saying it's common that people take advantage of others. Some don't, but a lot do. Society as a whole has become a "What have you done for me lately" society.

Hate to say it, but it hurts. Even I'm pissed it has become this way. Society as a whole is down the toilet. I get taken advantage of all the time too. I'm just saying how I see it from my eyes. Doesn't mean all that I'm saying is true, but there is some element of truth to it.

In 2013, most of the principles of survival of the fittest has died out among human population. You don't need the best genes to reproduce anymore.

ROFL, society as a whole is down the toilet? That statement assumes society was once out of the toilet. We've never had less crime, more tolerance in human history.

I'm focusing more towards how we live. Politics, economics, race, gender, religion, etc. It all plays into how people communicate with one another, good and bad.

Let's just say I don't approve of what the hell happened to society since we were little. We had better moral values back then. Not anymore. Everything is politcally correct now. You can't say things you used to say.

"Better moral values"? That's what EVERYBODY says for EVERY generation. If that were true, we'd be killing each other by now. We always look at the bad, and miss the good because the news is always BAD BAD BAD, everybody is talking about BAD BAD BAD. I find society to be more tolerant than ever.

Everybody is saying how people are being kidnapped, people are shooting each other, chemicals are going to kill us, the economy will starve us, etc. It's so stupid.

Less people are killing each other... that's not as important as how picky people are at what others say, or how instant they want their gratification!

Well with how politically extreme the U.S. Government has become and meddling in other countries affairs, it's only a matter of time before WWIII starts.

All the countries are basically laughing at the U.S. because we have become so paranoid with terrorism and trying to prevent by policing the world. Eventually countries are going to rebel and start killing off U.S. soldiers. Even with bribery, they still turn their backs on U.S.. They are not what they used to be.

It's only a matter of time before WW3? With nukes flying everywhere? We'll all be dead then. I doubt that. Whether the polarized government is here to stay isn't clear yet. It's not like in the past 30 or 40 years we've seen only peace around the world, either.

Paranoia is gonna come back and bite us. Mark my words.

Anyways, have you read any of my blog posts? If so, what do you think?

I'm still working on the religion deconstructed portion, and it will continue to take more time. I'm 75% done with Christopher Hitchen's book, God is Not Great, How Religion Poisons Everything. I consider his specialty to be history and ability to reveal faulty morality - he knows and has read about so many historical events regarding religion and the reasons for its occurence. I've already watched tons of Matt Dillahunty, and what he does best I think, is also morality, but mostly logic and evidence... Nobody can touch Dawkins' knowledge on evolution, it'll set any creationist straight... Add a pinch of Sam Harris and maybe Dennet. Some of my own thouoghts and explainations, fit it, spell check it, organize it, hammer it out into a short book, format it so it's easy on the eyes to read, and then there we go, we have a finished product... I'm planning on releasing it as a Word 2010 document and as a blog post, although for extended reading, I still think docx is the way to go. (I did reformat the blog to it's easier to read the text.)

Oh yeah, I got a new keyboard, so I'm trying to type as much as I can. Pretty expensive stuff. Going to type page after page and be boss with my new keyboard. Hell, maybe I could be the next Christopher Hitchens, minus the smoking.

The religion document is still going. 24-25 pages now. I sacked an entire page, because I'm trying to organize it into smaller-subcategories. It's stupid to read the sdame argument twice in one document. I'll see if I can squeeze in another blog bost before this baby is finialized. I still have a long way to go though. I'm 75% done with Hitchens' book and I've yet to incorporate many of the points I wanted to add from the book.

I'm glad you've been invited back to your high school. I've been invited to go back to my old university to do a 45-minute Math presentation with equations I've developed. It's a long story.

24 to 25 pages about religion sounds like something that I can do again, but I wouldn't release it. This Australian lady on the internet is a friend's friend and asked me questions about religion. I typed something like, "Sorry, I'll be ready with the 24 to 25 pages of answers to your questions tomorrow." Then she sent me back paranoid messages that she was offended. She was offended, but for the wrong reasons. She jumped to conclusions. She didn't even read the document because I didn't send it to her. I don't doubt that the people who need to read your papers the most are the ones who don't want to.

That is true... but there isn't much I can do. Can't force people to read my stuff if they don't want to.

In all seriousness, I have a friend that wants me to become an author. Interesting, but I doubt I have the ability to be a good one. I convey thoughts, yes, but a large chunk of it is from what I've read, seen, heard, etc. I won't be able to write the 31 pages I'm currently at featuring only my insight on religion. (You might ask what the purpose of this exercise is then. It is to combine arguments I've read from multiple sources and arrange it in a way that can easily be understood and generally concise.) Even if I take the idea of Hitchens, I cannot replicate his eloquence.

...But you know, it's great to have people that like what I write.

Still working on the document. I had to spend more time re-organizing the topics so they not only come in a more logical order, but to double check for repeated points *again*. I will definately proofread the entire document several times upon completion. If anybody would like proofread the "almost-final" draft, feel free to chime in, although bear in mind, this is a long read, so I doubt anybody will take up the offer.

Now, this is probably due to the fact that I have been working on this document for 14 hours out of the last 24 hours, so this is getting pretty damned tedious. (Once I got to Martin Luther King, I actually had less things to rant about for that guy, which kindda killed the mood even though I had much more coming for some of the later chapters.) I put a table of conents, a cover page, a credits page, and an afterword. Currently I have basically finished Hitchen's book.

Doomjedi, have you by any chance read Hitchens bestseller, God is not Great? I hope not, because I did paraphrase and quote many points from the book. Of course, this book won't be just Christopher talking. I've taken a lot of my own opinions and knowledge I've received from various Youtube videos to match...

It's currently like 50 pages of text if I strip away the cover page and the likes. I would think that this document won't get past 60-65 pages. It sure as heck won't reach triple digits, although bear in mind that printer paper is larger than the pages in Hitchen's book! I 50-75% done applying the points I like from that book. I've pretty much used up all of my previous posts on religion on my blog.

Taking a temporary break for today, going to resume tomorrow and get some real progress in during this weekend. (And heck, I might even finish all of it! I would still have to add points I've forgotton and correct the grammar and try to fix the flow of the document though.)

I have to start thinking about how I am going to rpesent this on my blog, though. I would recommend reading it in docx.
