Okay, so I'm new around here and haven't really taken much time to "prove" myself or anything of that sort, so it might not be such a good idea to make one of my first posts a call for resources, but I'm not exactly the best at editing enemy sprites, so here goes...
My first major Wolf3D project is called "Cosa Nostra", a total conversion that takes place in Chicago in the year 1940. The main character is a private investigator working to take down the mafia family responsible for a hit on a friend of his. The enemies consist of ordinary mob thugs (ordinary shirt/tie-wearing civilians packing pistols), professional hit men (actually RGamesInc's "Mesothelae" sprite set, replacing the Mutant), corrupt cops (in full uniform of course, replacing the Officer), and (the only one I haven't got a sprite for) the Don's enforcers.
Would anybody be so kind as to help edit a set of sprites for a typical "mobster"? He'd wear a long overcoat and a fedora, and his weapon would be the Thompson submachine gun with a drum clip, in Wolfenstein style, but here's the big thing: he has to be 100% greyscale (except for the "transparency" portion, which in my palette is hot pink on index 255, #FF00FF). I'd ordinarily do a franken-sprite edit of several sources, but I can't find any existing sprites at Monkee's place that have the kind of pieces I need, and I'm pretty rubbish at drawing things from scratch.
