About Steam
I had forgotten to mention that on somebody’s web site (Maybe it was the 3drealms.com message board; I don’t remember.) a guy says that your computer applications are slowed down a little bit because of the Steam Updater running in the background. Also from Steam, you don’t get the box art and you don’t get the posters. I have a poster that came with Masters Levels for Doom 2 in 1997.
I had forgotten to mention that this deal doesn’t include Wolfenstein 3D Super Upgrades. Wolfenstein 3D Super Upgrades is now freeware at http://www.3drealms.com/downloads.html and I’m having trouble getting it to work right. Type in “Super Upgrades” on a search on The Wolf3D Haven for instructions about how to get it to work. Wolfenstein 3D Super Upgrades includes 800+ levels and a level editor for Wolf3D, Spear of Destiny, and Blake Stone. I know that some of the 800+ levels are redundant or superficial, but level set C was made by Ideas From The Deep, a professional software company.
I haven‘t used Steam yet, so I don’t know if you get to download scans of the instruction manuals. If the instruction manuals aren’t included, then you can get them at replacementdocs.com. Don’t visit replacementdocs.com too much or your IP address will be blocked.
The ID Anthology box set included all of ID Software’s products up to 1996 or 1997. I’ve heard it included the Doom comic book and a pewter demon. If you really want it, try Ebay: http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&_nkw=Id+Anthology&_sacat=See-All-Categories . If Steam doesn’t include the Doom comic book, then it’s no big deal because you can get scans of all of it for free at http://www.doomworld.com/10years/doomcomic/comic.php . I don’t know of anyplace else that sells the pewter demon.
It doesn’t include Return To Castle Wolfenstein, but you can get The Return to Castle Wolfenstein tin on Ebay: http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&_nkw=Return+To+Castle+Wolfenstein+tin&_sacat=See-All-Categories
I don't think I'm forgetting anything else. Have fun.

The sale is back to normal.
At the university that I went to, a professor probably had his students make levels in Quake 2 or 3. I was just about to email him about the sale including Quake 2 or 3 because I thought that he would be interested in knowing. Unfortunately, the price went back to $69.99.
