Final Fight

First topic message reminder :

I am James Shain and I made a really crappy addon called the final fight a few years ago and I thought it stunk so I've remade the addon. I'm looking for testers. this is my first real addon so any help would be nice.

I've just finished episode 4 which means episode 2 through 6 are completed (at least the first draft).

James and I are still working on ep1 so this will be added later.

new screenshots are to be up tomorrow. they should look good.

Mostly original graphics but also a lot of good modified ones by WLHack.

well I guess now is as good as anytime to ask for level testers. pm me or brian if you would like to be a level tester.

This version contains some minor changes I made to some levels on eps 2 and 3 (removed some excess ammo/first aid etc) and fixed some guard placements. Also, it contains James 2 unfinished levels on ep1 levels 5 and 6.

I know I said that there would be new screenshots soon but I found a great freeware game called Knytt and I can't seem to stop playing it. but later tonight I will take some and post them tomorrow.

well would a real nazi stronghold have lots of rooms leading to places. not really. still do you think the addon is good?

Many rooms in the original Wolf3D levels lead to nowhere too. In the latest version of Final Fight, most of the dead end rooms now have things like treasure, health and ammo so there's usually a reward for visiting them.

true, but a nazi BASE would. that makes a big differance, just so that you know

The latest version of Final Fight now has 4 levels finished on episode 1, plus episodes 2 to 6 completed (may need some tweaking later though).

it doesn't look creator made at all. Ack and Brian did the level edits and episode 1 was made by me and is being made better by brian. so what do you think? not creator at all.

level 10 screenshots, I liked red walls, its red atmosphere.

i prefer screenshot number two, due to the fact that toom much red kind of makes it 'over atmosphereic' if you know what i mean. too much red all over, and you wont even see if you are getting it (red walls and stuff camoflauges the red flash)

i like 2 because its clear, no red flashes, and.... i dont know. i just like it

I would also like to make a note that me and wlhack are planning on releasing the walls after the final fight is released.

I have finished e1m6 but I may as well wait for the blue walls to be added before issuing an updated zip as level 6 uses the new blue walls.

I have now updated Final Fight, though we are still waiting for the blue walls to be added.

Episode 1 now has 7 levels done (only 2 more to complete the first draft of the levels).

All the 60 levels have now been completed on Final Fight though this is only the first draft. If anyone finds anything that is out of place then please let me know. Ack is doing the last episode but the first draft of those levels is done too.

It's a long weekend here, so I will try to look over my levels and get them finished.

ok, if i have extra time ill look for errors.

One thing in particular I may need to reduce is the amount of ammo on some levels. On the very first level for instance I ended up with 200 ammo though it was tight for most of the level.

here are the rest of the walls that were sent to me over the weekend. more should follow I hope. sorry for not being on at all this weekend as I was spending the weekend with my sister.

The latest version of Final Fight has:

- some minor changes on ep1
- ceiling colour changed to sky blue on e1m8
- Helpart/Endart added (story etc not done yet)
- Schabbs/Otto deathcams put back in
- Schabbs/Otto now used for ep4/5 end bosses
- new woodpanel wall (done by WLHack)

What is not included yet are the new blue walls or status bar so some may like to wait for these before downloading.
