Well, I have decided as I have a cool idea for a mod, I'd better do something about it. So in the last days I worked hard, starting a new mod (yet unnamed, but current work name "Golden Uprising").

Current team:
Graphics and story: DoomJedi
Mapping: Tricob and Ronwolf
Coding: WLHack(?)

Story:
450 000 years a go, an advanced alien race called Annunaki, came from their planet Nibiru to Earth in order to get gold to save atmosphere of their home planet. At first they worked their own "woking class" of "lower" annunaki, but after hundreds of years on working at the gold mines, the workers revolted against their masters. The solution was to create an ape-annunaki genetic hybrid called the Human to work at the gold mines, which eventually in their turn revolted agaist annunakies, with the help "from inside" by Annunak called Enki.
I still don't know which episode the game will depict, but it'll be either the revolt of lower Annunaks against their masters, or the revolt of Humans against the Annunaks. Maybe the other one will be a sequel/prequel. The decision will also define the main character's background/identity.
Currently finished:
all the enemies beside bosses, almost all of the weapons, all the backgrounds, hud faces, some textures and scenery, title screen.

Current enemies:
1. Annunaki guard (replacing normal guard)
2. Reptile (replacing the fast officer)
3. Nordic (replacing the automatic rifle guard)
4. Nibiruan beast (replacing mutant)
5. Imp (replacing dog)

Weapons:
1. Electric shocker (replacing knife)
2. Reptilian arbalet
3. Annunaki rifle
4. Nibirian beast's energy blaster
5. TBD

There is something called Anubu and Aniku. They sound like your Annnaki. Good luck, but i dont think i can do anything but beta test.

The Arbalet is addicting weapon, I made the whole animation to it, and it's soo realistic. You'll love it.

...well, I see a lot of beta-testing help around here...though currently I need guys like coder and mappers. though all sounds will have to be replaced as well...I have all the sounds I need in wav, and music in mod/s3m format...now I just need to know how to convert those to wolf3d format and insert those in.

hmm is there a way you can convert the music to midi format? then you could use the imf convert program by biser.

Well, I've finished all the 7 Bosses for this mod - made virtually from scratch (about 95% of the sprite), but keeping original wolf3d quality....you'll be most impressed.

And this is not the coolest weapon...the one that replaces the pistol is...the Arbalet. despite of it being weak, I keep playing with it while testing...it's addicting.

If you'd know english, you'd know that it's called "mistype" and not "wrong spelling".
Teem instead if Team is wrong spelling
Reem instead of Team is a mistype. Mistype usually involves letters that are close on the keyboard.

Screenshots show very limited range of enemies, graphics and themes of the mod.
The mod actually is much more impressive than can be seen from the screenshots...mainly because of relatively slow mapping progress.

The progress is relatively slow though, because somehow more focus currently falls on my other in-dev mod.
But don't worry, we are working on it...just recently finished the intermission animation...graphically and even coding-wise it's basically finished, so all is left is to finish the mapping.

Once Sonder SDL engine is finished, Eridu won't need much additional changes...coding-wise it has pretty little unique coding features of it's own.

Generally, after playing "Lost World part 1" so far I think epic is a strong word for Eridu. But it'll be an excellent mod...that's I'm sure.

After playing "Lost World part 1" I think I'll use the fog much more than originally planned...and not only shading.
Fog doesn't fit Sonder much, but it fit's Eridu very well.

Actually, new Sonder4SDL engine supports Eridu as well, so Sonder4SDL is basically Eridu4SDL as well.

So (Eridu being my next mod after Sonder) Eridu will need only mapping, as it's art is done, and coding will be done when Sonder4SDL finished.

This is good news for how soon Eridu will be able to be released.

Seriously, I'd play this mod when it gets finished! You spent a lot of time on graphics. It also looks like it requires 4 keys for some levels.

This hasn't been worked for at least 18 Months I'd say. Eridu WILL be made by Team Raycast, the same people that are currently finishing off SonderKommando Revolt. We have all the files, artwork etc. and 1 completed level.

We haven't decided what mod will be worked on next but it will be either this or Sonder 2, but as a team we will keep working on mods together, that's for sure. It will probably use the Sonder4SDL engine as a base which means it won't take anywhere near as long as the 3 years it has taken to make Sonder.
