    The Castle Secrets:

Gruft vom Teufel (Crypt of the Devil):

    Note: Photobucket JPEG'd it.

To alter the main title screen use ChaosEdit or FloEdit. To edit the Signon screen (very first screen you see) takes a little more work and a different program.

To reduce number of episodes try this tutorial MCS Coding Success! All the tutorials on this site are done really well and actually work. You can find a plethora of tutorials on this forum, the link I gave you, Wolf3d Dome, Poet's Wolf3d Page, DHW, etc, etc.

Well, that's not the first screen that appears. But anyway, the screen with the guard walking down the hallway with bj around the corner can be found by using floedit or chaosedit. It can be found in the VGAGraph tab.You can then export it and change it in a paint program or import a new pic...

Well, the work with the Wolf3d source code is well documented and many talented ppl have done a lot with it. Code tutorials are abundant as well as sprites, walls, sounds, etc, etc. Of course, be sure to give credit to the person if you use their stuff. Cool

As far as Duke3d goes, I don't know how much info and help you can get for that...

I think ill stick with wolf3d. It's smaller and easier to others to download. But i might make a d3d version later. But i think ill use the spear game rather than the wolf3d game. This solves the problem with the episodes list. And i can have more floors if i want. But the only custom guards wearing suits and ties rather than a old guard outfit. I can do walls and lights like I did before. I can do walls and lights but cannot do people worth crap. I might be asking for some help there in the future.

I found 1 on Monkee's Image World i can use but it was designed for replace of the dog and is missing images needed for use on guard. It's called the hostage by a Mr. wolf. If he is still around can he finnish it so it can be used for the replace of a guard?

Hmm. I don't know him, but he has done a lot of good sprite work. You need quite a few more frames to fill in for the guard. Your best bet is trying to do it yourself first. Who knows, you may surprise yourself and dig up a hidden talent you never thought you had Very Happy

Thanks.. But i have tried making guards before and they did not look any good. I am way better at maybe walls and map design. how ever the wolf3d game will be a challenge since my game will take place in a small office building. I unsure how to build a office lay out using 64 x 64 squares. I have not touched mapedit for more than 10 years and still think my earlier maps looked pretty good. Im just supriesed that the cdr still read after being in the shelf for as long as it did.

BTW I have been on there longer than i would have expected. May be i should start this in a new thread rather than useing some one elses. since this had went way past my origional title screen question.

Well you can post all help questions in the Help Desk section. I personally used MapEdit when it first came out way back in the 90's. I use ChaosEdit now. It does so much more. Even has a 3d edit mode. Although I still prefer the traditional map down view for making my levels... It also has a minor paint program in it which has the pallette for your game. Many ppl use an advanced paint program. I just you MS Paint for pixel art. Also, Gimp for re-sizing stuff. That's an amazing prgram and it's free Cool

I like the older map editors better since it's full screen and you don't have to squint to wee what your doing.
