Post by SandieK Sat Feb 09, 2008 5:36 pm

Always something with me, aint it Sad

Anyway, Im having trouble on floor six of vertilgung. I cant find the silver key anywhere. I found the secret that led me to an 'identical' hallway, and have checked in the passage way.
No key to be found, and Im a tad frustrated. Sad

    Help?

    Sandie,

Here are some words from the author:

    One more thing:
Here's a little reward for those of you who read this (for those who
don't, obviously it won't matter.) In the 6th level you might think that
you're lost and going around in circles. You're (probably) wrong. It's
designed in the Deja Vu style that Areyep made famous. Quite a piece of
work eh? (Unless your uncanny sense of direction leads you to the right
    way *cough!* cheater *cough!*)
Keep looking, and don't assume you've been somewhere already. Or maybe just *cough!* cheat *cough!* Wink

I haven't played this level, so that's the most I can tell you...

I actually did read that...or most of it, anyway. I figured that some of it was the deja vu thing.
Now that you mention it, I remember that bit.
Mostly frustrating that Ive made 2 or 3 laps in both areas with no success.

As far as cheating goes...no. Have no intention of doing that, and besides, Ive never gotten the cheat codes to work for me on anything Mod or original.

Thanks, though. Ill keep poking around.

There are 4 of those areas and they all look similar. Each are connected by mazes that start from the rooms with white columns in.

So, yeh. Still on Level 50...but, um.. How do I get out? Found a door, had no key. Cant find said key. Really hoping the ghost boss doesnt have it because Im presuming he doesnt die (presumption made by throwing ever bullet I had at him and he wont even flinch)

Yes, perhaps your getting tired of my noob-badgering. Sry bout that.

From what I remember, level 50 is a replica (though with different walls and some effects) of the original Wolf3D first level. You start at the original level 1 exit elevator and have to work your way back to the original level 1 start area. The exit elevator is behind a pushwall in the original start area. The ghost boss doesn't die. You have to dodge him.

Further to the above, the brown key needed to open the locked door is in a secret area. The secret area is inside another secret area behind a Hitler portrait. Hope this helps.

Brian is right. Level 50 is the same as E1L1 of the original Wolf set only you start at the end and go backwards. You need a Brown key which is hidden inside a secret room. To access this secret room search inside each of the original secrets as they are all there and you will find anothr secret room with the Brown key in it.

The exit elevator is behind a secret door in the blue walled room that you start E1L1 in. Be careful when you open the Brown door though! (Have a BIG gun ready!)

The easiest way to do this level is not to go any where near the room that has the ghost in, that way he won't follow you around. It means giving up on a little bit of treasure but its an easy stress free way to explore and finish the level.
