Joshua Waight has released 'Doom: The Movie'. There are 8 levels that are not that large but are well designed and decorated. The new graphics, sounds and music blend well together and the Doom atmosphere comes across well. Code changes include no loading screen, weapon swaying, enemy toughness changed and new player speed. Available at http://www.brlowe.co.uk/DoomMov.zip .

I'm sorry to say, but the author didn't listen to any of my suggestions.

The result is a perfect mod to show "how to make doomjedi not to like a mod" style.

Weird sounds, no mood, slow movement, no required coding features (come on - at least distance shading!!!)...rushed up job. All he did is to pump enemies with health and to think that'll make a moody Doom3 mod.
So much potential, so much waste.
    Very dissapoiting.

I'd make such a mod myself....but I'm very tired of the Doom theme and especially Doom-themed mods. So don't see me trying to make this idea "right" in any near future. Great idea - but very poorly made.

Joshua recently discovered 2 bugs in the 'Doom: The Movie' mod.

Sarge's BFG gunfire caused the game to crash
Pinky sounds like Dog when attacking

I just posted a new zip (same filename) that doesn't have those bugs.
