Hey, I just signed up today (so yeah, fresh newbie XD).


I'm interested in Commander Keen and Wolfenstein 3D, but I like other games as well like Doom. I'm planning my first Wolf3D mod, which is Crime Fighting 3D. It'll be based on Spear of Destiny.

Actually, I'm mainly a Commander Keen modder since 2008/2009. I've made Keen 1,2,3,4, Dreams and 6 mod(s). (I'm the creator of the first true Keen Dreams mod!)


Later, I'll plan Keen 3D as a Wolf3d mod.

Hi wolfszemi. I always thought a Keen 3D would be awesome. Looking forward to this project!

I'm curious, what are your favorite Keen episodes? I always loved 3 and 6 the most, but 1 and 4 were pretty fun for me too. Keen Dreams was quite unique and creative, but I think having level music could have helped it even more.


P.S. I think you are the 3rd member (active in 2015) from Hungary here. 

for me Keen 4 is the best.

Keen 1 is most nostalgic and Keenish though.

As a spoiler I tell some things about Keen 3D:

It'd be a special Keen 3D, which would have the 4 weapons Keen had in the 6 episodes.

1st is the raygun, 2nd is the vorticon pistol, 3rd the purple pistol, and 4th the neural stunner which is used in Keen 5-6 as well. And graphics will be 16-bit colour.

Why would you go 16bit?
Aren't native Wolf3D 8 bit enough? You know what Keen modders did with just 4...
Don't you want for this to still look retro?

16 bit is a plan, doesn't mean it'll surely be 16 bit.
