Jpb:
Time to have a chat. Here is my strong recommendation. If you want other people to not roll their eyes when they see yet *another* mapset from Jpb, you need to change some things. Make less levels, but make them higher quality levels. Take out any and all religious infused ideas. We don't play Wolfenstein 3-d to look at religion. I know religion is a big part of your life but putting it in Wolf3d doesn't achieve anything except from turning off anybody that might have originally played your games. When you make a mapset, there is no need to make different versions. Nobody really knows which version is better and neither will they play all of them to find out. Make one version that's the best you can make it.
Make the levels good. Design them yourself, try to be creative. If you're not feeling it one day, take a break. It's better to make nothing than make subpar levels. Think about your title screen: Does having a red background with a word saying 'Doomsday' turn people onto playing your game? No, it does not. The word was hastily drawn on what appears to be paint. If you're not going to spend the time to make a quality picture, leave it to default. And your menu music is a high pitched sound. If I'm playing a game and it says 'Doomsday' for every single episode as the name of the episode, people are going to think you're nutty and not want to play the game. I don't want you to waste your time. Instead of releasing tons of mapsets, release less mapsets with more levels.
And for the love of all that's holy, do not copy and paste other people's levels. I know it can be tempting but if you're going to copy and paste entire levels, you might as well just not make anything and tell other people to play the mapset you copied from.
If wolf3d is going you dominate all of your time as you map '300 games per year', then you might as well make it higher quality. People don't want to see your mods show up every other day. There is no way a person can make a good Wolf3d mapset in a few days.
