There is no real special question here - I just thought of putting up a thread where authors can list their contributions to either work primarily from another author or from a community set/contest. The guidelines should be fairly straightforward I think and are as follows:

    1. You were not the primary author of the game;
    2. You did not make more than one third (1/3) of the levels in the game; and
    3. The contributed levels do not also appear in anything you were the primary author of.

Some authors like Scabbs, ack, etc. are or were most certainly very active in doing these contributions (I can't include Thomas here because he already bunched all the levels up into a set of his own, 'Odds & Ends', thus violating the third condition). But the ones I gave are surely only a few examples of such authors.

EDIT: Condition 4. No modified Creator levels!

Well I'll jumpstart this thread with a list of some easy knowns, who have done a lot of contributions, but these lists are just what I remember off my head/what comes to my mind - not necessarily complete by any means:

ronwolf: DHW SDL Episode 1, DHW SoD, DHW TC, Wolf3D Community Mappack, Map of the Month, BMSE 10-year Level 18, possibly Team Aardwolf Mapset

AReyeP: DHW SDL Episode 2, a few maps for DHW SoD, BMSE 10-year Level 13, Map of the Month levels

ack: Two levels for Spear Ress. 10-year, DHW SDL Episode 6, DHW TC, BMSE 10-year Level 7, Map of the Month levels, Super Haven Mapset levels (9 levels across various episodes), Map-Making Melee Episode 2, Nazi Operation Level 58

Schabbs (Brian): BMSE at least one level, BMSE 10-year Level 6, DHW SDL Episode 5 few levels, DHW TC levels, Team Aardwolf Mapset, Gex's Spear Levels Pack, Super Haven Mapset, Wolf3D Community Mappack E6L2, Gravestein 3000 Episode 6

serpens: DHW SDL Episode 3, DHW SoD, Map of the Month contests, BMSE 10-year Level 4, Team Aardwolf Mapset

Dean: DHW SDL Episode 5 (4 levels), DHW SoD, Map of the Month July/August 2007, BMSE 10-year Level 14, The Wolf3D Community Mappack Episode 3 + E4L10 + E6L3 (however E3L10, E4L10 were reused in EFCH), Operation Mutant Strike 3

Arielus: BMSE, BMSE 10-year Level 1, Map of the Month, DHW SDL Episode 5 (3 or 4 levels, can't recall), Map-Making Melee Episode 1

Thomas Weiling: Everything in Odds & Ends (excluding Hard Cell levels and Kilroy Was Here, these weren't community projects) + 1 other Map of the Month level + BMSE 10-year Level 15

Chris Chokan: Part of Schabbs 2000 Level 9 (secret level), something to do with Chemical Warfare Level 29, ATAW3D Level 69, Map-Making Melee Episode 6 (excluding E6L4)

That list may get things started, but by no means am I confident it's even close to complete for any given author (except serpens and Dean who have posted confirming the list is complete), and there could easily be other important contributing authors as well.

Brian did a good chunk of Final Fight stuff, and Ack did the final episode for that.

Sorry - modified Creator levels are verboten!

Brian does look like he had potential involvement in the first episode of TFF though, and the layouts do not look like Creator ones. If these were indeed his levels from scratch then this can go in since it would only count as 1/6 of the game (keep in mind also the rule it can't be more than 1/3 the game).

he helped a lot with the secret level on the first episode, and Ack did create an entirely new boss level for the final episode. And I hope that FF1 doesn't put you off enough that you won't try FF2 when its out(whenever that is since progress is slow).

It all boils down to simply one question: Will FF2 be using Creator levels as a base?

That's what turns me off. I find Creator levels to be inherently boring in layout, because they are really predictable, and modification can only take them so far. If you think I have no support, ask Thomas because I know he thinks exactly the same. Nothing else about the set would have possibly made me not want to play it.

Haha, I have enough mappers at this point that doing creator levels is pointless. plus it was only my first mod I ever made and I wasn't so great at level making at the time. But there are zero creator levels that will be used. The ones from the first mod are still there since we don't have all the levels made yet.

Is there any alpha/work in progress download of FF2 available, and if so where can I get it and what levels are finished?

There really isn't a version ready yet, and if you want to help test we could use the help. right now its exe work that is needing to be done.
