Hello thar.... long time no see! How goes things here?

I will probably be able to maintain some presence here, this time 'round. Did some relocating related to my occupation and that has a horrible way of cutting into any kind of spare time. Real life, man...always getting in my way! I also miss helping people with source code and stuff.

Well, though it may be sacrilegious to admit such things on this forum, modding often took a back seat with me over the past year due to a rather heinous work schedule. Third Shift is, and always will be, the worlds most efficient spare time incinerator. You put spare time into it and you'll wonder how it just burns it right up without leaving a single trace that it ever existed!

That said, however, I've been given a more flexible non-nocturnal work schedule - has done wonders for my sleep pattern and hobbies. It is nice to have returned, though, and I am happy to see familiar avatars Wink

Good sir, I played Metal Gear when it was still for NES and Metal Gear Solid when it was but a mere demo on my PS1's pack-in CD. Solid Snake/Naked Snake (they're clones, so without more context it is impossible to tell) is fairly easy to spot. The lack of an eyepatch tells me it's Solid Snake from Twin Snakes or some manner of flashback scene from one of the newer games.

It's also occurred to me that I am the local "affable pompous ass", if that helps in my identification Wink.

A MGS fan to the end I see. I never played MGS except for Metal Gear Ac!d, but I watched all the walkthroughs on youtube to make me love the series. I wish I had David Hayter's voice.

Kojima should think about remaking Metal Gear 1 and 2 after Ground Zeroes.

I do not, never have, and never will have the intention to smoke and drink just so I can have a deeper voice like Hayter's. But I wonder if having a deeper voice can occur naturally without smoking and drinking?

I don't sound the same now as I did when I was your age (judging from your forum profile age), not too much different, but I think that a male's voice generally does grow mildly harsher as he gets older. It becomes even more marked as men enter their 40s and 50s. But that involves waiting and I wouldn't wish myself older to have a "cooler" voice Wink.
