I find that Christmas has been turned into a mainstream holiday in America - not even religious for a large part. I think it's just an exuse to buy stuff and exchange gifts... I can just by my own "gifts" for myself. What do you think?

Re: Do you celebrate Christmas?
I think Christmas is redundant, and I'd rather do without it, take a holiday or something to a far away sunny country instead. However, I don't want to abolish the holiday, it's just that I personally find it useless, but lots of other people seem to enjoy it, so why the hell not.

Yeah, I celebrate Christmas just like Thanksgiving, but add the gifts and stuff.

Re: Do you celebrate Christmas?
I do enjoy Christmas dinner though. However, what we eat over here for dinner at Christmas isn't unusual to get all year round though. The only special thing about Christmas (I think) is the dessert (though I don't care much for it myself) - the rest of our traditional Christmas dinner is also eaten all year round.

Re: Do you celebrate Christmas?
I have no relatives I want to bother to get together with. My mother and father are across the globe. I had a friend that asked what I was getting him for Christmas... I said nothing, and he said I was "cold". I wanted hit him with a brick.

Re: Do you celebrate Christmas?
More or less, its just an empty holiday for me. Most of my family lives far away and even if I had the chance to see them, its just another day to me.
