Basically the question is in the title of the thread. Both Team Raycast mods, Guns & Glory 0.5, Sextilogy 3, and Totenkopf SDL stand out as possibilities. Again, I'm not focusing so much on being an SDL mod as I am in it using the SDL features to the maximum for enhanced effects and features that add to the game and would be at least much harder for a mod to accomplish with the Dos model. Since there aren't a HUGE number of such mods out there yet (honestly I can't really think of one I didn't point out), I would think a top two or three would be best.

Klooni SDL?
Batmod (unlike it's planned sequel) is really simple coding-wise and sure has less features than Dos-based "Trench Warfare" or "Orb3D" or EOD....and even simpler mods. What does it have coding-wise? Beside fridges and truck mirroring? Weapons and enemies and Bosses are simple art conversions of Wolf3D enemies and weapons and Bosses. Parallaxed skies? Textured floors and ceilings we have in many Wolf3D mods, from "False Spear" to "Castle Hasselhoff"
Batmod could be easily made as DOS Wolf3D mod, it's not about features SDL allowed - is just about being able to run on modern Windows. It was a "fast" mod.
"Eisenfaust" indeed is totally another story
Actually I don't think those can be listed in one line.WolfForever wrote:Basically the question is in the title of the thread. Both Team Raycast mods,

We need a mod that makes Eisenfaust look like simple!

Mac-enstein SDL cannot be done with the DOS source because of the multiple sounds needed and the higher resolution necessary to reproduce the Mac Wolfenstein experience. So I would say that makes good use of Wolf4SDL, though it doesn't use a lot of the features.

IMO anything that uses shading or textured floors/ceilings is an SDL feature use because, while they can be done with Dos, they really leave a side effect of slowing things down in Dos, while SDL can handle them smoothly. However, it has to be a mod that was made FOR SDL in the first place. Dos to SDL conversions don't count.

Oh we'll get some good ones in the future. I just hope WSJ hasn't given up modding altogether.

WolferCooker, are the ones that already exist (in the opening post) not good?

Of course not. Just saying there will be even better ones in the future.
