My pick was "Going After Hitler". I always liked it, its tension, its mysticism about it, and the level it was used on originally, E2M3 and -8 were as suiting as ever for this piece. But it was hard selecting a definite favorite; other candidates were "Enemy Around the Corner", "Into the Dungeons", "The Twelfth Hour" and the unused VICTORS-tune.

The piece "Suspense" is probably second on my list and "Twelth Hour" is not far behind it for me. The great thing about "Going After Hitler" for me is that simple 3-tone motif you hear at the start and it never goes away until the end of the piece. The motif builds tension while the reverse snare instrument breaks it down every few bars. Just cool. Smile

I always thought the snare sounded like someone lighting a match. The gloomy "electric church bell" thing at each sequence also gives it a liquid, snarling effect that really typecasts the tune as being suitable only in slimy/mutant/gloomy maps.
