Do you play modern games?

I am playing Skyrim. Call of Duty: Modern Warefare 3 and Battlefield 3 do not pique my interest currently. Maybe it's because I'm busy playing Skyrim. There is a thread on Skyrim in the off topic section, by the way.

I've never been a gamer by nature, so most of the time I just mod Wolf. I rarely play Wolf mods... Lately though I've been playing Totengraeber and Spear Resurrection in SDL. Other than that, I do enjoy playing RTCW and Unreal Tournament, but that's about it. And those games are OLD.

However, I do play Grand Theft Auto series on my PS3 - the most recent one I have is GTA IV from 2008. But again, it's not always I'm doing that.

I don't play Modern Games.

I pretty much stopped at "Unreal Tournament 2004" and "Call of Duty", "Halo" (but even then - played only free demo versions...Hated "Halo" BTW) and old "Need for Speed - Hot Purciut" (LOVED this one and got gold medal on almost all tracks). More modern games couldn't run on my old comp anyway, just yeah ago bought a new one.
As I don't like RPG/Quest/Mass Multiplayer RPG etc, and play only shooters - my scope was limited anyway....so I played only those shooters and not other modern gamers. I just like "Unreal Tournament" series. But I hated "Quake" (beside Quake 3 Team Arena) and so stopped at "Build Engine" games to follow new shooters and started following only "Unreal Tournament".

Nowdays I don't play modern games at all.
I play just wolf3D mods. And sometimes some old games...or MUGEN....

I pretty much stopped at Quake. Enjoyed Duke Nukem 3D and Rise of the Triad when they came out.

I still enjoy Tetris and mods of Wolf3d.

Does Bejeweled 2 count?

We should play deathmatch or co-op sometime. Maybe we can over Christmas Break. For the PC, I have Ultimate Doom, Doom 2: Hell on Earth, Rise of The Triad, Return To Castle Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, The Wheel of Time demo, Duke Nukem 3D, Unreal Tournament 1, Unreal Tournament 2003, Unreal Tournament 2004, and Unreal Tournament 3. AFAIR I have full UT1...but only demos of UT 2003 and 2004...though 2004 demo is compatible. I sure have Doom, ROTT and all other all shooters.

I'll try to remember to post here again on Thursday night on Indiana time, but that would be Friday morning for you. I live in the greater part of Indiana that's on New York time. We'll see if we can play over the weekend. Which game do you want to play?

I rarely play new games, I used to game but that halted when I turned 16 and became interested in other things. The newest game I have is Batman: Arkham Asylum which is a great game. Apart from playing Wolf3d from time to time I also play some football manager games, and at times I like to play through the single-player campaigns of Max Payne 2, any Splinter Cell game, Halo and Fable. This is mostly once a year when I'm bored or just feel like gaming. XD

Oh yeah, I like to play UT as well. I have lost the first UT unfortunately but I do have 2004 on my laptop. Me and my friends played it to death.

It seems to me that many people that play Wolf3d still, don't play any very new games. Not that I would guess this is MW3 forum...

I play modern games ( newest games I have is Dead Space and Batman: Arkham Asylum). Moment I playing Gothic 2 + expansion pack Night of the Raven.

I heard the new Batman game has epic DX11 glitches... do you play SKYRIM???

I have not played modern games lately. However there is one new game that peaks my interest: Serious Sam 3 BFE.

Unfortunately I tried to "get it" *wink wink* and it doesn't work on my computer. The only way to get it is on the Stream website. You gotta pay for it, but I don't trust paying the website just to get the files. Hell I don't wanna pay to get the files only to have them not work on my computer in the end.

Double post. I did buy Serious Sam 3: BFE and indeed you have to pay and configure your computer to download and install the files.

Bottom line: I LOVE THIS GAME. Money well spent!

I have beaten Serious Sam 3 BFE in every level of difficulty, but that's only part of the equation. On the leaderboards, you are ranked by how many points you accumulate each map in every level of difficulty versus everyone else. Out of tens of thousands (maybe hundreds of thousands) of people, I am now ranked in the TOP 50 (34 to be exact) and that's VERY HARD to achieve as you rank ALWAYS varies at any time. It took a lot of loading and saving to get this far, but it was all worth it.

Anyone here who has this game I'm up for playing multiplayer with you. My SN is the same here: WolferCooker.
