Cool. If you say that it's going to be updated by Christmas, then I'll check again on Christmas.

Great stuff... But the modern, neat sprites do not blend in well with the rather cakey old walls. If the wall patches get a refurbishment as well, this is great.

The shiny armor looks very cool. I hope the armored knights and plates of food in 3D will not make the rest of the game look dated. silent

I agree. Couldn't help but notice your name, "Linuxwolf"... I tell you, the only reason I don't use Ubuntu is because of my DOS-dependence because of Wolf. lol! I hope it will be changed one day...

Moreover, I hope that this GL-thing may add some different maps than the originals. The originals are designed for the old, old game, whereas the new sprites and probably walls as well (I hope) could offer something more mundane and suitable.

Wolf4SDL supports Linux but most modders only release their Wolf4SDL mods as Vista or Windows 7 EXEs. In that case your only option on Linux is to run the DOS version of the mod using DosBox. You can build a Wolf4SDL mod for Linux if you have access to the source code but mod creators tend to keep their source code private from the rest of the community even if it is based on the publically available Wolf4SDL.

As I understand it WolfGL-3D is not a mod. It is a port like Wolf4SDL with one main difference being WolfGL-3D uses 3D graphics hardware acceleration via OpenGL. So if I were you Thomas I wouldn't hold my breath for new levels from WolfGL-3D. These new levels would be created by a modder, not the creator of WolfGL-3D. This is why I don't understand why the creator of WolfGL-3D is bothering with 3D models. If he completes the port to OpenGL and it works well then his job is done. After that it is up to modders to create mods with new levels and 3D models if they think it is worthwhile.

Am I missing something here? Is WolfGL-3D a mod or a port? confused
