Movies
So did anyone go out and watch some movies lately? And by lately I mean this year. I watched The King's Speech, Inception, and I rewatched Transformers 2. King's Speech was interesting, people say the acting is good. Inception had good soundtrack, and the idea is way out there, which I kindda like. Transformers 2 is blowing stuff up.

Re: Movies
Wow Atina, that's one of the worst lists of movies I've ever seen!!
I Managed video stores fro nearly 10 so have watched a ridiculous amount of movies in my life. See a lot this year but especially a lot of foreign movies. I especially loved the 2 [Rec] movies, Let the right one in and JCVD. Most of the Hollywood stuff, other then inception, has been fairly average so far this year.
I'm taking my Son to see Kung Fu Panda 2 next week, so hopefully that's a bit of fun.

Re: Movies
im happy that you dont like list Dean ^^ as i saw your opinion and stuff you like i must say im glad you dislike. means my taste is still good xd didnt expect that someone like you would like classic horror or trash movies or else =p
about kung fu panda i saw it with sister and i was seriously dissapointed... simply lame and over advertised movie. and as usually next parts of movies are worse. i would say that second one is gonna be terrible.
mario movie lol, it's old and you should see it xd

Re: Movies
Actually you are completely wrong. I love all types of film, especially horror and have seen EVERY film on your list. When i say I've watched a lot of movies in my life you seriously couldn't fathom exactly how many that is. When you get free movies for 10 years you sure watch an enormous amount of stuff! The original Halloween is my favourite Horror movie of all time but I especially love John Carpenter's films.Atina wrote:im happy that you dont like list Dean ^^ as i saw your opinion and stuff you like i must say im glad you dislike. means my taste is still good xd didnt expect that someone like you would like classic horror or trash movies or else =p
There are some decent films in your list though;
Sin City
Spaceballs
Predator 2 is seriously underrated
Shaun of the Dead
My name is Bruce
The Crow
The Earlier Hellraiser films
The original Halloween films and the NOES films are good if you are in a crappy, shlock horror mood. The new Halloween was good but the new Halloween 2 was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
I watched Super Mario Bros. years ago when it came out. It was pretty crappy but has a surprisingly decent cast in it.
What do you mean by 'Someone like me'?

Shaun of the Dead
I liked Predator 2 as well, although a lot of people seem to hate it. Sure, it isn't the first Predator but still quite enjoyable. I liked the new 'Predators' as well. And Shaun of the Dead is all kinds of awesome. Anyone seen Hot Fuzz?

The Kings Speech I haven't seen yet, but I have seen Inception many, many times. The Dark Knight is still my favorite Nolan film, but Inception comes very close. But I love all films by Nolan, Memento is a classic and I consider The Prestige to be underrated, such a great film.

Re: Movies
I've enjoyed all the Nolan films as well, well except for 'The Dark knight' but that's just me. it was ok but incredibly overrated IMO. Memento is outstanding, the Prestige was very enjoyable also and Inception is just brilliant.
I love Hot Fuzz Ron, and Paul as well, you'll have watch that if you haven't seen it yet!
The Thing is awesome, one of my favourite Carpenter movies, along with Halloween and Escape From New York.

I've seen The Dark Knight as well as Inception. However, I don't particularily remember The Dark Knight that well, which must means it's not THAT memorable to me.

heh, the movies I've seen lately have been Asian movies mostly. Though the last movie I watched was The Green Hornet and I thought it would suck, but man I loved it! If you're into action movies, you can't go wrong with Hard Boiled on dvd. one of the best if not the best action movies of all time.

Eyes Wide Shut. Sort of an adventure drama with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. Set in New York City. Not bad.

I didn't like the new Predator movie much at all. The whole idea of the film had been done many times before and the 'Super' predator was just a stupid and unnecessary idea, the Predator was already bad *** enough.

Re: Movies
I watched 'Paul' today, quite a fun movie. Not in the same league as Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz, but quite great nevertheless. And yesterday evening I watched Bridesmaids, though it's not so funny as The Hangover (it's been called the female version of The Hangover a lot!) it was still a great comedy. Kristen Wiig was great in it, and it was nice to see The IT Crowd's Roy in quite a big role.

Agreed. The premise seemed decent and even the beginning wasn't half bad. However it all became a silly mess soon enough. Quite a few people at fox need a swift kick to the head.
