Very long time ago, one merchant by name of Moisej in 1870-71 has arrived to Berlin. It has got an earthen site on today's Djuppelshtrasse 41. Then it obtains the permit on стоительство houses. And very soon Moisej has headed a local community. After a while, to be exact in 1897 the decision to construct a separate building for the divine service purposes is made. Naturally that, after construction, the synagogue has been named in honor of that person which has enclosed in it many forces and means. Named it “Wolfenstein-Synagoge”... the surname of a merchant was Wolfenstein.

In details this history here - http:// www.anderes-berlin.de/html/synagoge_steglitz.html
.
The short mention of it, as has pushed me to the further searches,
has found here - http://www.associatepublisher.com/e/w/wo/wolfenstein_3d.htm
.
Where so it is mentioned that that «Wolfensteindamm is a street in Berlin-Steglitz, named after Moses Wolfenstein»
