Tell me more about these 2 games. I've never heard of them. By "Nam," I suppose you mean Vietnam. In Sociology class, somebody said that North Viet nam was Soviet and the Vietnamese originally wanted it named "Soviet Nam."

Yes, NAM was in Vietnam, you fight in jungle. WWII GI is a game that takes players back to D-Day and
the Normandy invasion. Game takes place in France. Missions take you through the D-Day beach landings, assaults on
equipment depots, and even a take-off of "Saving Private Ryan"

build engine games. Empty Other Doom type games

You are forgetting Prey. I don’t remember if I’ve heard that it’s Blood or Prey where you are a Native American on a reservation fighting space aliens. I’ve heard that in Shadow Warrior that you are a man in The Ancient Orient. Download the demos here at http://www.3drealms.com/downloads.html , fileplanet.com , or fileshack.com .

    Areyep and MCS’ WolfenDoom?: http://www.areyep.com/RIPandMCS-Wolfendoom-Main.html

Doom type games? I like Unreal Anthology. I bought it a Gamestop store for about $26. It’s by a company other than ID Software or 3D Realms.

Doom type games? What about this: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/440/

Also in about 1997, ID Software sold The Doom Anthology box set in computer stores. It had a pewter demon, a Doom comic book, and all of the games that ID Software had made up to that point. Check Ebay for it. Is this the same comic book here?: http://www.doomworld.com/10years/doomcomic/comic.php

There’s Final Doom, which requires Doom 2. It’s 2 more episodes of Doom 2 each with 32 levels. The Doom Trilogy is for sale in department stores and includes Ultimate Doom, Doom 2, and Final Doom.

In the 90s, I bought something that was either called Master Levels For Doom 2 or Maximum Levels for Doom 2. It had 20 or 21 levels that they hyped. It also included 2,000 or 3,000 levels made by separate developers.

I’ve heard about Strife by ID Software and that uses artificial intelligence. I hear it’s an improvement over Doom. I’m not sure if it’s legally abandonware.

I’ve heard about Hacx which ID Software or 3D Realms planned to do with improved technology over Doom 2. Either the technology was outdated when it came out, or it did so poorly in sales that ID Software or 3D Realms made it as freeware. It’s here: http://www.olddoom.com/replwads.htm

Star Wars Dark Forces was originally meant to be a Doom 2 add-on. However, it was so different from Doom 2 in programming and graphics that legally they sold it as a separate game.

I know very little about Anachronox: http://lparchive.org/LetsPlay/Anachronox/index.html

D-Day! I think that was June 6, 1944. In the original Unreal Tournament from 1998 or 1999, you play a level that takes place at Normandy with an objective.
