PicNic has released 'MOHA (Medal Of Honor Airborne)'. There are 25 well made levels spread over 3 episodes. Most graphics and sounds are either new or from elsewhere and along with the new music it all blends well together and creates quite a realistic atmosphere. The outdoor scenes are especially effective. WLHack did the coding and includes animated objects, a 3 episode menu and textured floors/ceilings. Contains some minor bugs (text file included). Available here.

Interesting, I hope to play this soon. I liked the fast paced outdoor areas.

I'm sorry, guys, but I've never played such a waste of time and potential in whole my wolf3d years.
The only good thing about this mod is the truck textures..and maybe weapon sprites. But here ends my good feedback on that mod.

    1. Totally ridiculous scenery, toony, unrecognizable, totally undetailed, weird and much more...(This includes the parashutists and many more....). Outside-type scenery in indoor areas.

    2. Weird acid yellow rain that never reaches the ground

    3. Totally ridiculous shading...by it strength, palette look.

    4. Totally ridiculous hurt and death enemy frames....too gibby for those weapons and weird-looking.

    5. Totally ridiculous forest texture that looks like it's taken from old Nintendo "medieval-themed" game, and not WWII theme.

    6. Weird blue-wall-ceiling-floor castles...

...well...I'm only on 3rd level Smile

'2. Weird acid yellow rain that never reaches the ground'

I asked WLhack to go like Anti Aircraft fire, but instead he did it upside down.
Also the fog distance can be changed? I did not set it like this.
Whenever WLhack replies to my PM'S.

Let's see what your mod shall offer shall we?
Like the textures doesnt fit to the sky.

Yes, changing shading will make it better-looking, no doubt..
I think the whole half-height blacksky textures make a wierd feeling...hiding trucks suddenly and other things for no apparent reasons...In "Femstein" I had to make full-height textures because of that to replace original ones I've made. Mod just didn't look real...
MOHA currently it doesn't have unique mood, and those unrealisms. I get a mood for a sec, and immidiately something there to get me off the mood and distract me. I don't like half-height textures...- they make outside areas look unmoody, weird and things keep get dissapearing from your view. With Trucks it looks very bad...
I also think it was not wise to put some original wolf3d textures in there - like the grey wall.
Other walls many of them don't fit the theme, or each other. tToo Colorful stone walls (most of them very unrealistic) and such...get you off the mood.
Levels are too small, and some mapping decisions are ...well...unconclusive at most Smile

If that is your opinion then I respect it, although IMO my mod is not bad.

I'm not trying to be "mean" Smile I respect the effort and the time...
I'm just honest. And I think things I say are constructive and helpful. But again - that's just my opinion. And as such - it doesn't mean your mod is bad - all it means that I didn't enjoy playing it. Sorry.

Voting is in a different thread....Plus the poll is there so people can vote on their opinion, if they don't like your mod then that's just their opinion. As long as you are proud of it that's all that matters.

Anyway, I had a bit of a play and there is some really good stuff in this, but then again there is some stuff that I feel lets the mod down. The game play isn't too bad, the sounds are good and the use of some of the walls has been really well done as I especially like the doors you have used. The cartoony graphics, IMO, don't fit in and do let the mod down, so much of the rest of it look professionally done that there is a such a contrast between them and the other stuff it just makes them stand out even more. The only other issue I have is the first gun you use, it looks like you are shooting with a chicken leg!
I haven't played through that much of the mod yet so I'll keep going and add any other thoughts I have later
