    Here is an example how to make japanese style panel walls
    (I am still using ToS-palette as it has good variety of colors)...

    Basically the wall was made with following steps:
    First I created a simple background and made some darker
    variations of it for futher use.

    Then I made a simplified version of the wall (next to the palette)
    and cut it on pieces.

    After that I pasted the different parts upon the correct backgrounds
    to get the correct colors.

    Finally I put the parts back together and added them to the wallframe
    (sixth frame) and there you have it... A custom made wall with
    oriental flavor.
