Wolf3D/SOD Skins for Unreal tournament 2004 Empty Wolf 3D in Unreal and Lego Wolf 3D Alpha in the C4 engine

Post by stathmk Wed Nov 26, 2008 7:52 am

There were 2 Unreal Wolfenstein 3D videos on Youtube, but I don't think that they're finished being developed or debugged. There's a Lego Wolf 3D Alpha in the C4 Engine. I doubt if the C4 engine is the same as Unreal, but it comes close to the quality in my opinion. Check out Mr. Anonymous's Lego Wolf 3D Alpha videos: https://www.youtube.com/user/legowolf3d The videos are looking cute and fantastic. The Pac-Man level is a little different. You get to eat pellets and vitamins that help you eat the ghosts.

By the ways, these emoticons look like Pac-Man or Lego men: Surprised

Send me a private message with your email address and I can email you the Lego Wolf 3D Alpha files. Each of the 7 .rar files is about 7 or 8 megabytees. It must be unzipped, then unzipped again, and put in one directory. Then the total files are about 115 megabytes.
You must download the latest version of DirectX:

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/desktop_software/graphics/directx_redistributable.cfm You also must have one of the 3 graphics cards. Well this is what the C4 site says:

Supported graphics cards are as follows:
Nvidia: GeForce FX 5200 or higher.
    ATI: Radeon 9600 or higher.
    Intel: GMA X3000 or higher.

If you run out of ammo and use your knife it will sometimes cause an error.

Or if you want to make your own graphics or mods for Unreal Tournament 2004 or Unreal Tournament 3, I know that there are books about how to do this. Check out fileplanet.com for literally gigabytes of free Unreal mods and patches and over 2 gigabytes of free Nvidia graphics driver files. I know very little about Pariah, but it's made using the Unreal engine.

Edit: I had forgotten to mention that you download the C4 engine here: http://www.terathon.com/c4engine/index.php

Wolf3D/SOD Skins for Unreal tournament 2004 Empty Unreal engine development

Post by stathmk Wed Nov 26, 2008 4:07 pm

I would first check Skin City at http://skincity.beyondunreal.com/ for Unreal skins. However, I have no idea if any of them are for Wolfenstein or Spear of Destiny characters.

There's a way to make your own Unreal levels, characters, and graphics. You can download them at fileplanet.com . If anybody recommends any tutorial web sites or tutorial books for the making of levels, characters, and graphics for Unreal, then please post the links here.

Edits: This is an Unreal Wolfenstein 3D project that I’ve found. Wolfenstein Resurrection: http://sksprojects.incadudef.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=67 The web page has movies and maps.

    Go to http://www.planetwolfenstein.com/news/search.asp?function=search&advanced=1&search=Unreal&startmonth=1&startday=1&startyear=2000&endmonth=11&endday=26&endyear=2008&order=rankdesc&recordcount=0 , look for May 15, 2007 and there's RTCW2-Prison. It's a remake of a Unreal level into RTCW2.
Try Milkshape 3D at http://chumbalum.swissquake.ch/ for making models in the Unreal series and other games.

I meant wolf3D/sod skins for Unreal Tournament 2004 not ut skins voor wolf.
    The UT mod looks nice.

Sorry this post is so late. I was looking for something else on my computer and I had found Wolfenstein Enemy Territory Axis For Unreal Tournament 2004. I knew in my memory that I had heard of something that was a form of Wolfenstein in Unreal. I don't remember whether I had gotten it from fileplanet.com, planetwolfenstein.com, download.com, or someplace else. I'll have to email it to you.

    I found a link. I know it's Unreal from 1998 or 1999 instead of Unreal Tournament 2004.
"A little bit like Wolfenstein:" http://www.fileplanet.com/21527/20000/fileinfo/DmWolf
I haven't even played it yet. I wanted to post this before I forget the link for it.

I have Unreal Anthology, which doesn't include Unreal Tournament 3. I'll try to snap screen shots.

Edit: I had forgotten to mention that at a store called "Gamestop," I bought Unreal Anthology for about $26 last February.

Wolf3D/SOD Skins for Unreal tournament 2004 Empty Screen shots

Post by stathmk Thu Jan 15, 2009 6:36 pm

It’s a deathmatch level and you can’t complete it in one-player mode.
This is where you start in the Wolfenstein 3D version, but you sometimes respawn here to start in the Unreal version: http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~skeptic/unreal/1-PrisonCell.jpg
    http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~skeptic/unreal/2-JailCellHallway.jpg
You can’t tell from looking at this picture, but the foreground door is up:
    http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~skeptic/unreal/3-LongCorridor.jpg
    http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~skeptic/unreal/4-NoTables.jpg
After the “No tables” picture, the author didn’t really stay true to the rest of the map:
    http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~skeptic/unreal/5-ADifferentCorridor.jpg
    http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~skeptic/unreal/6-Respawn.jpg
There’s an energy amplifier, armor, and other items, but I had forgotten to snap screenshots of those.
This is the error message that sometimes appears:

I pretty much agree. There's an error that sometimes comes up. It's too dark. There's no wall posters, no elevator, no tables in the room, no enemies in one-player mode, no plants next to the walls, no cages with skeletons in them, and no secret passages. The author didn't even map the entire level to match the same layout of the original Wolfenstein 3D level.

But on second thought, I have no experience editing Unreal games, so maybe the author can program a level better than me. I shouldn't be too cynical.

I agree about the lack of decoration in the pics and most of them look too dark. Well detailed weapons though.

Wolf3D/SOD Skins for Unreal tournament 2004 Empty Video Updates

Post by stathmk Tue Mar 10, 2009 4:34 pm

I've found some videos on Youtube that are better. Apparently this is somebody's project where he uploads better versions all the time. It's Unreal, and not Unreal Tournament 2004.
    Trailer 1:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prPH5PYrfUE&feature=related
    Trailer 2: (NOT abandonware)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inomjvB1pPs
    This one's different. It's Wolfenstein UT3 (Unreal Tournament 3):
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNebrIwStvQ
I think I'm going to eventually buy Unreal Tournament 3.

This one looks better, but it's for Unreal Tournament 3: http://files.filefront.com/DM+Wolf+3D+2k8/;10147283;/fileinfo.html It has a screen shot.

I'm going to ask for Unreal Tournament 3 Collector's Edition for my birthday. If I get it, then I'll try to remember to post how I like these mods.

Wolf3D/SOD Skins for Unreal tournament 2004 Empty Unreal Developer's Kit and books

Post by stathmk Tue Nov 10, 2009 1:56 pm

Picnic, are you still interested in making skins for Unreal games? I think that UDK (Unreal Development Kit) for Unreal Tournament 3 was just released to the public in the last week or 2 at http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/unreal-development-kit/?_cmpid=fp75 I don't have Unreal Tournament 3 yet anyways.

A student that I went to the university with made a level in Unreal Tournament 3. There was a senior class project at the same university where they made an add-on in Unreal Tournament 3.

Type in "Unreal Tournament 3" on Amazon.com, or bn.com, and go down the page on the listing to "Customers who bought this item also bought..." and look at the books like these http://www.amazon.com/Mastering-Unreal-Technology-Introduction-Design/dp/0672329913/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1257889350&sr=8-10

Programming in 3D takes forever, and I should know because I've made 3D animations. However, the technology has changed so much in the 8 1/2 years since the last time that I've used 3D Studio Max. I don't know how to else help you.

Do you still have the file? I lost all the files on my portable hard drive in 2009. Could you please email it to me so that I can post it on Wolfensteingoodies.com?

Edit: Nevermind. I found it in an old email that I had saved.
