    DOSBox 0.74 Released
DOSBox 0.74 has been released! I just checked it out with a few TC's with complex code changes and there seems to be a marked improvement in playing speed compared with DOSBox 0.73. There's a long list of improvements mentioned on the release page. Available from DOSBox.

How do you load a Win 95 specific game CD in DOSBox 0.74?

Post by stathmk on Fri Sep 28, 2012 4:34 pm

How do you load a Win 95 specific game CD in DOSBox 0.74?

I bought the Puzzle Madness CD from Ebay. It's specific to Windows 95. There are videos I've found on the internet that only show how to load up the Windows 95 iso. Does anybody know how to load Windows 95 game CDs in DOSBox 0.74?

    Edit: I'm using Windows XP.

Heh, I would've thought they would made DosBox 0.75 already.

These updates don't come frequently, I guess. Especially as they improve things further it becomes progressively harder to improve the emulation enough to warrant a new version number. Just my guess.

Dosbox 0.75 will never be released apparently. Conversation on #dosbox

    Code:
<slim132821> when will Dosbox 0.75 be released? hahah
    <P4R4D0X> never
    <P4R4D0X> use SVN
    <P4R4D0X> end of story
    <slim132821> aha I am
    <P4R4D0X> good
    <P4R4D0X> then you have 0.75
<slim132821> you really are a paradox ahah
<P4R4D0X> no... I am telling you the truth
    <P4R4D0X> there won't be 0.75
<P4R4D0X> why would the devs work for GOG and co. for free?
<P4R4D0X> so they could steal it and bundle it with their crap?
    <slim132821> that makes sense
<P4R4D0X> 0.74 is good enough for them
<P4R4D0X> and no... they didn't donate to the project
    <P4R4D0X> so yeah...
    <slim132821> jackasses indeed
    <P4R4D0X> so please don't ask for 0.75
<P4R4D0X> be happy that you have SVN
<slim132821> no worries, you have answered my curiosity
<P4R4D0X> all you need to do is to look at the commit log
    <P4R4D0X> and the dates

Thank you, ThePerfectDrug, for mentioning DOSBox to remind me that its been updated since Brian stopped updating The Wolfenstein 3D Dome in 2013. I was going to mention the updates, but I had forgotten.
