Wolfenstein 3D - 18th Birthday | |
Wolfenstein 3D turns eighteen today. It was released May 5th, 1992 by id Software, and sparked the FPS revolution which led to Doom, Hexen, Rise of the Triad, Quake etc etc and later RTCW. Later still, in 2009. came Wolfenstein. The registered 60 level Wolf3D game is still available from The 3D Realms Online Storeor id Software. 3D Realms state that their DOS games now come with a DOSBox wrapper and should run on Vista. If you have Vista/Windows 7 and a Wolf3D version that doesn't run then Click Here for DOSBox info. |
