My understanding is that Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus takes place in an alternate universe or alternate timeline where Germany takes over The United States even in about 1961 and World War II still isn’t over.
You can pre-purchase the PC version of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus on Steampowered.com http://store.steampowered.com/app/612880/Wolfenstein_II_The_New_Colossus/ for $59.99. Or pre-purchase the PC version of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Digital Deluxe Edition for $79.99. I thought that it was $94.99 for the PC, X-Box One, or Playstation 4 version of The Collector’s Edition. The Collector’s Edition has a digital game of The Freedom Chronicles Episode Zero, The Terror Billy Blaskowicz action figure, poster, and I believe that it’s in a steel book case. If you pay $5 down or more at Gamestop, and don’t pick it up on October 27, then they are required to hold it for you for at least 48 hours.
