I think the "missiles" on the status bar gave it away. I don't recall many mods with that category listed that way - only Paal Olstad's mods come to mind, and they have far from 27 levels!

All right. Let's see if any of you people remember this one...

Looks like Revival of Memories with the use of that
Doom shotgun, but I know that there are only 2 keys on the stats bar and the SS don't have blue uniforms. I give up.

"Weltgericht"? It's typical of a Mario/Luigi-whatever mod to take sprites from various games and mix them together in an unfitting environment. That's my guess.

What!? I clicked on your link and Diehard Wolfers is down. Did somebody hack into it?

As far as stereoscopic vision, if you were in Japan or America in 1995-1996, then there was the Nintendo Virtual Boy headset. It was 4 colors and 3D. Go to http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2240507/five_best_video_games_for_the_virtual.html and on page 2 was Red Alarm, the only game that I think that I played in the store. I don’t know how many games where released in Japan, but only 14 were released in American. People would complain of headaches after playing the Virtual Boy.

Once Brian (Schabbs) posted a link on The Dome News to a forum about making a homebrew Wolfenstein 3D game for the Virtual Boy. They even designed the box art for it. However, I did a keyword search for Virtual Boy on The Dome News and it isn’t there anymore. I’m going to guess that the project didn’t go very well and somebody requested to Brian that he take it off The Dome News.

This homebrew is somewhat like Wolfenstein 3D: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOc7J3pIxgI
Here’s one of the links that popped up when I searched a search engine for “Wolfenstein 3D” and “Virtual Boy” http://www.planetvb.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?viewmode=thread&topic_id=1549&forum=2&post_id=1550
I did a search for Wolf here on http://www.planetvb.com/ and it returned this:
    http://www.planetvb.com/modules/search/index.php?search=Wolf&option=and&all=1&forum=0&x=26&y=13

I still can’t find the thread with the box art and more detailed Wolfenstein 3D plans.

I don't remember Matthew releasing such a version. His Wolf3D website has some info on his addons and Wolf3D tricks though. If you are interested, it is at http://mbarich.tripod.com/wlf3d/ .

    Thanks for the stereoscopic info.

OK. I’ve misunderstood that it was hacked. Brian responded to my email message with, “The DHW forum has been down since about 10am (UK time) this morning March 1st. I doubt it was hacked. It just goes like that every now and again.”

It is by one of the Bucksnorts, or is it...Beyond Mutantstein: Special Edition?

EDIT: I cross-checked between the floor and the sky and it's not BMSE. I'll check through the Bucksnort mods in an hour or so, see if I can get it. I'm 90% sure it's by one of the Bucksnorts, am I on the right track?

Also, how do I take a Wolf3D screenshot and post it here? I'd love to participate in this "game". Smile

My uneducated guess would be one of "The Greinholdt Covenant"-mods. If that's not the one, I'll go for "The New Evil".

Yes, it is by John Bucksnort.

For a Dos mod you can use Dosbox to take a screenshot (use the CTRL and f5 function key together) but the screenshot needs to be posted somewhere. To post it on here, you can use the Host An Image button (the 15th button in the strip on here) to upload the file from your computer. Or, if the screenshot has an online link, you can use the Image button (16th button in the strip) and enter the url link.

It's by the same author but the mod is an earlier one than those mentioned above.
