Issues with reading fonts including in Netscape email and Java Applets
I’m reading in Windows Vista and it’s at 32-bit and 1280 by 960 pixels. I’ve had this computer since July 31, 2013 and I remember since that’s the day that the new Rise of The Triad was for sale. So about 2 weeks ago, Windows Update installed some new updates.
Since the specific updates, it’s harder to read a font of 12-point or less including in Java applets and Netscape.net email. It’s harder to see the bar at the top of capital “I” or “T.” It’s harder to see underscores and periods. The lowercase letters “t,” “i,” and “l” sometimes look alike. Capital “A” looks like that Greek letter that I think is Sigma.
Can you remember that Henrietta Lacks was an American who had died from cervical cancer and scientists have sequenced her mutated cancer cell genome? I’ve heard of her before. Anyways, somebody sent me an email to my Netscape.net account saying that we should read, “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks.” The Garamond italics font is so bad and unreadable that it almost looks like, “The Immorial Iife of VIenriella Iacks.” I knew instantly that I've had enough of this new default web font. Also, one of the guys from Computer Science sent email text about a web page about his “kennel” and I thought that it was a Computer Science “kernel.” I had to re-read it.

-What is the best web font to change to in Windows for reading? Please help.
