Video testing new maps Empty Video testing new maps

    Hey guys,

I'm making a few new levels, just a mapset (with some minor graphical changes, very minor). I think for at least the first release it's just gonna be 10 levels, 9 and a hidden. I've tried to make them worthwhile, with the basic goal of making them both action-intense and cerebral (in other words you will almost always be fighting, but I've tried to make it a strategic fight -- there's always a way to win pretty cleanly if you're paying close attention. On the other hand, don't expect to just shove your way forward, chaingun blazing. Well, not usually =P).

But before I release it, I was wondering if anyone would like to help me make these maps even better. What I would like to do is have you record a video of your first playthrough, I would like to see how you play through a level, if secrets are well-placed, if traps work or are too simple (or too cheap), if health and ammo is plentiful (or too plentiful), etc, so that I can tweak them and put out something of quality (also to help design future maps).

Anyone can participate. If all my wishes were granted, I would really like to see players with different play styles, ie someone who is extremely careful and conservative, as well as someone who prefers to move as fast as possible to the exit, and anything in-between.

If this sounds like something you'd like to do, but you've never recorded your screen before, let me know and I'll get everything you need to get that going. Right now there are 7 complete maps, but I'd like to finish it up in a couple weeks. I'm very slow, ha. And you do NOT want to play the maps I try to just grind out, lol.

Hi.  I've got so much to do that I don't think I can help record.

Go to http://deans-wolf-blog.blogspot.com/ and scroll down to the list of Wolf3d Youtube pages.  They would have gotten used to recording levels.  Maybe send a message to each of them asking if they would like to help.
