SDL version of Coming of the Storm?

Post by aberk81 on Fri Feb 21, 2014 5:33 pm

I really want SDL version of Coming of the Storm. Because the DOSBOX version does not work for me because it froze up on me. Even with increasing CPU cycles. But the features i wanted for SDL version of Coming of the Storm, No dead bodies for Ghost levels. Even they will join Ghosts. Not black ones. But the white ones.

Aberk, that will not happen unless WSJ decides to revamp it. Let him decide on what he wants to do and respect it.

What WolferCooker said. WSJ mods aren't going to SDL by anyone but himself (and don't expect direct ports, either!). At least this one did play smoothly enough on DosBOX for me. And what a game it was! Quite probably I'd say in the top five mods ever made that run reasonably on DosBOX. (SR original and Letzterschutz [and that nameless 69th level] give it some competition though!, followed by Totengraeber. Stuff like Gary Ragland works too but they are a step down in the hierarchy being more quasi-mapsets.)
