It would be interesting to see the community's opinion of who contributed the best levels to the BMSE Anniversary Edition. So I've listed the levels by author and what five were best in your view?

Note that this set was not specifically designed to be in strictly the same style as John Bucksnort's mapping or even as the original 2002 tribute set, so it's probably most appropriate to simply use the quality of the level as the factor of judgement, and treat each level as an independent entity.

Authors are ordered by their level slots.

Any/all commentary is highly welcome as well. Smile

Little surprised Schabbs has the most votes so far. His level was rock solid and I can't really knock it for anything but I don't think it was the true standout of all of them.

DHW (which is currently down) really should do another of these community mapsets IMO. But not for just plain Wolf3D or SoD perhaps. Pick a mod that has some other features and the authors' permission to do so. I'd love to see DHW Spear Resurrection SDL, for instance. Just need AReyeP's permission, as I'm sure talented authors are more than up to the task of putting all the new features to good use. Totengraeber also came to mind but I'm not as sure; to really be worth trying a community pack on a mod over just the original I really think there just needs to be at least a little more in changed/new features to use, compared to Totengraeber. Plus it needs to come with an editing kit. And finally it has to be something that can be developed as SDL. SR fits the bill perfectly and in fact I can't think of anything else that does! Smile

Anyways that is OT in this particular case but if AReyeP signed off on permission I see potentially enormous potential to give that a spin for another DHW SDL community set of maps, and one that's clearly different compared to any others done so far. It would be my token choice of what to go with.

The results are interesting to me also as in a lot of reviews and feedback I've read there was a lot of positive credit to Hair_Machine for his level but yet it's received 0 votes...

I'd be in for a SR SDL Community mapset! Very Happy

Maybe see if AReyeP gives permission to this and if so start a DHW thread to see if there's interest? Would be so cool IMO, to see what the community can come up with for such a set if people are interested in giving a shot. Very Happy
