Do you just love to play it at this point or do you want to make your own Wolf3D mods?
There are some nice tutorials here....

Do you need recommendations for best Wolf3D mods? It's a long list, Wolf3D is modded for 20 years now...
Oh, man you have alot of mods to catch up...

Heh, every Wolfer will give you different list...
It also depends on if you prefer SDL or DropBox, and oldschool vs. "advanced features" mods.... full TCs vs "nazi themed" mods.

From "Advanced Features" I'd list (random order!)

    1. End of Destiny (nazi)
    2. Orb of Dilaaria (TC, DosBox)
    3. Castle TotenKopf (SDL, nazi)
    4. Spear Resurrection (SDL, nazi)
    5. Spear Resurrection - 10th Anniversary Edition (SDL, nazi)
    6. End of Destiny (nazi)
    7. Trench WarFare (DosBox, nazi)
    8. Absence (TC)
    9. Operation EisenFaust : Origins (SDL, nazi)
    10. Spear of Destiny Reloaded (SDL, nazi)
    ---------------
    11. Halls of StoneHenge (TC)
    12. Batman vs. Bane (SDL, TC)
    13. Wolfenstein Reloaded (DosBox, nazi)
    14. Guns and Glory 0.5 (SDL, nazi)
    15. DieHardWolfers TC
    .....
    ...

    From older mods:

    1. Operation "Mutant Strike" (1,2,3...) SDL
    2. "Operation: Letzterschutz" (SDL)
    3. Project Eisenritter (DosBox)
    4. Operation Todpfad (DosBox)

    Classic of almost classic mods:

    1. Time to Kill (nazi, SDL)
    ....

I was 8, we had just purchased our first, actual IBM-compatible PC from Packard Bell. A selection of quite a few games had came with it as part of the software bundle and Wolf3d was one of them. I played it and beat it but I didn't pick it up with the intention of doing any modding until about a decade ago.

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report!

ahhh Packard Bell. Memories, memories. I remember playing on the computer in DOS mode typing in certain prompts my dad told me to play the games I used to play back then. And of course along came Windows 3.1.

    Win 3.1 <3

Yeah, our 3.1 couldn't boot Wolfenstein. I first tried it in '99 on our Win 98 and we then tried to transfer it to the 3.1 on diskette. That worked, but it froze on the sign-on screen. Threw it out some years later.

Which was stupid! There was nothing wrong with it. But that monitor was HUUUGE... And heavy... And made in Taiwan (like Eric) so it was all very nice.

I remember watching my dad play Wolf3d a couple times, but I only could see him play for a limited amount of time because of the violence and I was a toddler back then. I also remember my dad got a couple copies of Wolf3d on floppy disks from a friend at work and even had all the game maps to where the secrets were.

My brother and Dad used to be into it, and that's how I picked up Wolf3d. Would've been more fun if I didn't get scared looking at the blood on brown weave wall texture... >.>

I used to laugh whenever the SS dies when they say a muffled "Mein Leben!". I always thought they said something like "Maig Naimen", though I didn't know he was speaking German.

Also, when I first saw Hans Grosse, it scared the crap out of me with that ambush.
