    America:

Where people STILL use feet and gallons and miles.

Where people STILL circumcise their babies very, very often

Where people are so brainwashed by a mutilated penis, some girls actually prefer it that way

Where 48% of people believe in ghosts

Where 43% of people do not believe evolution is real

Where over 75% of people are religious

Where people actually watch Fox News and voted Bush, TWICE

Where a majority of Americans cannot name a single branch of the government or explain what the Bill of Rights is

Where 75% of people do not know what FDA does

Where 33% of people thought Obama isn't from America.

    Just saying.

With regards socialism in European countries this not the worst option. And by and large - they do not have reason to complain. Under socialism, they live better and freer than the Soviet Union.

That may be so, but "better than the Soviet Union" is probably in the bottom range when it comes to freedom, sense of economy, a sense of your role and your worth in this so-called 'society'. This is what they never understood over there.

To paraphrase a remark from film "Taxi Driver" (1977, Martin Scorsese)we get the following aphorism -"In any society, the power f*ck their citizens in varying degrees.." And dissidents, opposition can be found anywhere. Wink As an example of the consequences of the recent elections in the U.S. "Seven states have collected the required number of signatures on a petition to withdraw from the U.S. a week after the election of the President of the Democratic Party candidate Barack Obama. Such a petition submitted by residents of 40 states. Obama unhappy residents of so-called "red zone", where traditionally vote Republican. This is Texas, Louisiana, North Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, where he beat Romney. In addition, the necessary 25,000 signatures required for the consideration of the petition, provided Florida, where Obama's victory." Of course they will not, no one will release .. Absolute freedom that the states do not even see if all the residents have signed ..

Freedom has different side effects .. including the negative ones. For example, in the city where I live was a factory. The plant produced soft drinks, soda, beer, brandy, vodka. Quality products have been good.. Demand was also. A few years ago the plant was destroyed. Now, that similar products imported from other regions. This is beneficial for the city? Or is it beneficial to officials who lobby the someone interests? This "freedom" is practiced in many areas. So on the news talk that it will close another plant .. This plant produced meat, sausage, milk, etc. This production was also in demand.. Only now have to buy products made in small factories, many owned by local officials sitting in the government and so on.

In the world there are many good people .. but there are people who think about their "of private interests." for example Such those who began to fire, Israel did not think about reforms. And what in this case, said in Arab world? They condemned the Israeli aggression.. But maybe this nonsense has his reasons? One of them is the support for NATO's recent Arab revolutions.. and radical Islamists feel its power.

Word of "tyranny", "democracy" lost their meaning in today's world. Now topicality concept - a poor country or a rich country, well-armed state or poorly armed state. Of course, there are countries of moderate means. The same thing with the threat of radical groups. It would be naive to think that terrorists are far away in Africa. For terrorists, the border have long ceased to be an obstacle. Each year will only get worse.. Worse if individual governments will continue to finance a coup in the Arab world. Therefore, many western countries now resemble the "communist Soviet Union" in pursuit of imperial ways. Wink

Hey, I don't mean a forced atheist country. A country where people there decided to use their heads, that's what I'm after. And it doesn't just apply to religion, other superstitious things, general basic knowledge, etc.

Trust me, Wizzie, people ARE allowed to use their heads over there. They are everywhere --- it's just the government that implies things above people's heads that gets out of hand. Here, in this godforsaken nanny state where being a loser is a profession nearly a quarter of the population practices without getting challenged or facing facts, you can also you use your heads all you want. Depending on your inner strength, you will wind up either satisfied with yourself, or unsatisfied with yourself, but just keep the feelings down, get an average government job like all the rest, marry an average-looking woman, name your baby some lame oldfashioned name currently in fashion and call yourself happy. That's why this is the happiest nation on earth. LOW expectations in general.

I understand your dissatisfaction, Eric. Why don't we trade locations for a while? I could do with some California sun... lol...

Haha, it's pretty damned cold right now. (By my standards, no frost yet but some rains)
I guess I can be known to have high expectations.

But hey, stupidity is one thing. Some people are stupid, don't know it, and think they are top of the world.

America: Don't think to much. That's bad for you. Few people I've already disproved religion in front of their face, and their reaction is 'But still, I don't really care if it's not true, still gonna believe.' There will never be some utopia and shit tends to hit the fan when somebody trys to achieve it.

    America....
Land of the hand outs and education for the few.
Give me all your tired, useless, diseased, etc.... (lol that's enough!)

Not sure about those stats Dark Wizzie but you have to realize that the "United States" is a land divided and made up of many different kinds of people. We are starting to see a social change happening and hopefully for the good. The way people were living in the past was not sustainable. A bloated corrupt government and the outsourcing of industry into the lovely GLOBAL economy was the root cause which started this domino effect. Now we are finally dealing with the repercussions of a war we couldn't afford (thanks BUSH!) among many others things...

We need a new system period. Before that can happen the old system must fail. Just hope I stocked up on enough ammo encase of all out Anarchy. If we learned anything from the 1980's it is an American business man is still the evilest type of person on the planet.
