    Post by johnb1 Mon Oct 22, 2012 3:57 pm

does anyone have any tips while playing this? This is not your average set of Wolf 3d levels. Seems like I go around the corner and scared something comes to mow me down kinda quickly.. As far as i know, debug works, so it says, but after that

    I don't know
    thanks

Really? Is it 10/10 on the difficulty scale? I've been looking for a challenge after I finished The Lost Relic. Wink

    Weltgericht Empty just....Wow....

you finished the Lost Relic.... really? as in done....complete..over with..... I think I ragequit that game on more than one occasion....kinda hard to see stuff, and survive, and I'm not that good a player as I might think I am....so all I can say is cheers I'm sorta not worthy to be in in your presence (think wayne's world bowing and scraping sorta thing) so I salue you, dark_wizzle. Anyone who can finish that has more patience than I do and certainly deserves my great respect

I salute you Sir and wish you all the best. Now about Weltgericht. Yeah, I guess it's challenging. maybe not quite as challenging as the Lost Relic, but that's like saying eating 2 habaneros is not as hot as eating 4. Yeah, true, but you're still gonna be in for some heat and pain later on no matter what you do. I guess I haven't learned the pattern yet....

Apparently MegaLuigi and the other guy who made Weltgericht, well, the cheats are disabled for good.

    so there's that....

I finished the Lost Relic on easy mode as have Wolfercooker. Wolfercooker, because he's best bros with the authors of the game, and me, because I like a good challenge.

For The Lost Relic, it's about yes, saving and loading often, knowing when to use what weapon in what way, and recognizing the boss AI weaknesses. (In the last level, knowing how to dodge projectiles and sprinting instead of normal running is important). I've yet to finish the game on hardest. (My save file died halfway and I never replayed on hardest after that.)
My guess here is that only Wolfercooker and I actually finished the game because the rest of the people either can't play the game because it glitches out, or ragequitted.

HELL, you know what? If you want a real challenge, (although not as hard as The Lost Relic), try SHS which I made a few years back:
    http://www.wolfenstein3d.co.uk/adds_STU2.htm

And of course, try the hardcore version on hardest difficulty. Unlike The Lost Relic, I've actually beat each level starting with 8 rounds and a pistol, so I KNOW it's actually humanly possible to beat. The Lost Relic on the other hand, is still a question mark. (Maybe if I knife some bosses, but that's seriously hardcore right there!) bounce

I can't play this, it's not in SDL though. Sad

Yes, I have finished Lost Relic and Weltgericht eons ago and yes I do chat with the authors of both those mods from time to time though I was in touch with them almost daily for an entire 2 years regarding their future plans Wink

Yes, it took me a while to beat both the Lost Relic and Weltgericht the first time around and I did ragequit a couple of times as well, but these guys make challenging mods.

And yes, Mario Maniac and Mega Luigi do NOT like cheaters with their mods so they disable them on purpose.

Like Wizzie said, I have become best bros (good friends) with Mario Maniac and Mega Luigi.

I never Ragequitted (except when my save game died on me), stuck through it the entire time. Although, since then my Wolfing skills have deteriorated a bit. Hey Wolfercooker, ever tried SHS? New challenge for you. Smile

Thanks, but no thanks for the moment. My Wolf3d skills are very rusty. I'll clean it off starting with Mario and Mega's upcoming mod. That'll reinvigorate my Wolf3d interest for sure.

No ETA for that mod though. Could be in another century. Huh?
