What's the best free program to record computer game playing?

What's the best free program to record computer game playing? Fraps? Camtasia? Something else? What's the best free video editor to use to piece together scenes if I want to put it on Youtube?

I've always had Dr. Mario for the NES. I think that it was just released to an emulation web site this year. I want to record some Rube Goldberg type stunts on Dr. Mario. I also want to show the endings at level 20 on low, and levels 5, 10, 15, and 20 both on medium and high. Then I want to put it up on Youtube to have the experience. I might try some more grand finales for different games.

OK, but does it record sound? I tried Camtasia yesterday and for some reason it wouldn't record sound.

I used Screen Recording Suite, which can help record anything from your computer screen with high quality, and it also can save the video to standard video format file, and output as different format as you wish. It's perfect to record computer games.
